according to him he didn’t push to leave, but he did want a longer improved contract.

The new ones are good but it does seem just worse versions of very nice original kits. Lazy. That’s a beauty though.

just what we need in this team a bit of pace and urgency
-
He is older than our preference, however he played 31 times in Ligue 1 last season in a team which finished 5th. Won the league as captain a couple years before. I don't see any reason why he can't play the departing Lyanco role of say around 20 games. Add this to our desperate need for a leader and this dosen't look too bad.

Any deal involving downes and i’d be very happy indeed

Am I the only one bored of this ‘buy back clause’ approach? All they care about is getting more money at the end of a glorified loan.

I can’t be a saints fan as I was born in Princess Anne instead of the General 😢 -
Will season ticket prices be released now and will you renew?

Just checked ST sales don’t look all too impressive thus far in block 15 Seems like a lot of accounts online bigging it up without actually being the ones moving? -
Ah Wayne Shaw, just what we need

Fine with it but I must admit the teenagers from Salisbury are very weird compared to proper southampton folk. Also many of them like to shit on our city so it causes a bit of an annoyance. I never went to the dell but would happily have a 15,000 seater if it was full of people who actually care about and represent Southampton No, no one should. It’s cringey and no longer used by the people who tried to make it a thing. It’s been adopted by fake “hooligans” in say the Itchen North. Probably not, still the biggest club in the south -
I thought this. I don’t remember him being that good when we played against him, but his passing is crisp.

Dale Vince is a big attention seeker so there’s no surprise in this.

I don’t wish we were Leicester I just think that Coady is a very good signing.
-
Well that’s obvious. Notwithstanding the obvious players who will leave every relegated team not just leicester, I still stand by the point. Coady is a championship winning captain, and has played the last few seasons in the premier league. Surely you don’t believe he dosent enhance their defence?
-
So Leicester get Coady which only strengthens them further.

I’ve not watched the new Indiana Jones film yet but The Spectator says a more fitting name would be ‘Indiana Jones and the Script by ChatGPT’ which I find quite amusing.

very good, hopefully the players will get used to the possession system and their passing under pressure will get even better. At the moment in that 11 a side (?) at the end it looked a bit scrappy like whoever was on the ball was trying to be too clever. That should clean itself up in a bit. It also looks much quicker than Jones slow paced sunday league stuff. Additionally many of our players are clearly not as fit based off looking at who dropped off the bleep test quick puffing, hopefully RM will see this and continue to push them harder as it was a weakness of ours.
-
It’s a bit odd. If he goes to Barnsley surely they won’t be paying him 4x his Sheffield Wednesday salary.

interesting to see tella is up there (almost) with JWP. Does this say something about Burnley/Kompany fitness being much better than ours on average, or is this due to individual training during the summer?
