I too attended one of those.... and it was OK. They dont get on. That's life. NOt ideal, but neither the be and end all of the club... afterall surely its the fans that are the club? Fecetious sorry, but come on, thsi is a few grown men playing ****ing games, and like the fools we are, we fall for it and take sides, when in teh grand scheme of life how important is it really?

With MLT, Cortese or both? Were ther close to each other, did they speak? Did they hold hands... this one has done the rounds already. In your Opinion... Poncing around corporates may work if you are David Beckham, but LM is sadly not quite the draw any more - becaue you are right, IF he was that big a draw, Cortese whould be paying him... dont let your hatred cloud your judgement... I though most on here said the clubs was the FANS and that they are the only consistent thing, as owners, managers andplayers come and go, only teh fans remain loyal... so which is it to be, that one or the freebies to the exs, whilst loyal fans cant afford a ticket?

So what should that be? People who were paid huges sums given free tickets? Allowed to say what they like in public about the owners? Given a free box? The legends of 76 were all there last year with one or two obviousl exceptions... where does it stop? and lets be honest - LM fecked off to Sunderland - do you think Franny would have stayed all his career had anyone bigger wanted him on more cash? MLT LIKED being a big fish in small pond, he is on record as saying such - and sorry but being good at football and being paid 7k+ a week, does not make you feckin mother teresa who deserves some sort of life time fawning over and can do no wrong. Cortese has fecked up on several things and teh Jury is still out on Adkins, but he has delivered what he said on the tin, whoevers money it is - Matty should be glad about how far we have come in 4 years and not get all ****ed off about a carpet and bathroom tiles - or because he is doing things his way and no longer dolloing out free tickets for 20 mates of ex players or giving 70k a week for a bit of hospitality...

Right or wrong, Cortese has no bond with Le Tiss... he would ahve been seen as an ex servent of the club, now being an obstacle to the unity NC wants... from the Pinnacle debacle to the siding first with LM and then with FB and using the public forum his current roles allows to have a dig... all childish on both sides and a little distracting but hardly a big issue unless you let it be one... if this keeps you awake at night you have bigger problems to worry about.

Indeed - but you will be shot down by those for whom Football and teh club..mean so much more, and that fans like us will never be able to understand.... blahblah blah - well we understand very well, just have experienced enough of life to recognise that sport, football an club are escapist entertainment, lucky talented lads who earn a decent wedge to kick a ball around and give us some pleasure - its not life or death, and anyone who quotes Bill Shankly again needs a lesson in irony....

Fair enough, You are one of the 'placing too much emphasis on a chairman of a football club and the influence it has on your life (I need to get out more) and follow the CoT (Colt of Turkish).
