  1. It's all set up for a classic day of Saints table watching. The day starts with hope as Leicester get turned over by Norwich. In the build up we see the opportunity then start brightly taking an early lead. Trousers posts the table. Then one of our full backs goes missing and Ipswich sneak it. Followed by Leeds rubbing salt in the wounds later. Textbook.
  2. He's a professional footballer. He should have a point to prove every game.
  3. Having rewatched the highlights from yesterday I don't want to watch Adams flailing around with a banjo any more and I'd like one of our wingers playing instead of Sulemana.
  4. I don't get why he persists with Sulemana. There are 3 wingers that are more effective at the club (possibly 4 depending on where you stand on Sam A-A). It's like he's 2/3 or a really excellent footballer. Right up to the point where he has to do something with the ball.
  5. We can still do this. COYR
  6. Jesus fucking Christ, Baz
  7. Mara's gone a bit Carlos Valderrama and I'm here for it.
  8. Well done, Jack
  9. Boro are racking up the yellows here
  10. Adams shows his full range in the last few minutes. Doesn't get back on side. Takes too long then slashes wide from an open goal.
  11. Warning signs are there
  12. This ref has been a bit baffling
  13. He has the beating of his man just not the next bit.
  14. I think it was more symptomatic of the mess we were in. Nothing says staying up like breaking your transfer record for a player you don't wind up playing.
  15. It all feels a bit complacent. We've reverted to walking football
  16. Ooh. Wake up call
  17. Armstrong!
  18. We've missed KWP so much
  19. Brooks on the bench because he wasn't well, ok. Not sure about Sulemana preferred to Fraser and Edozie though.
  20. Over the last few seasons we've been terrible so if you were to look at any point of the season then it's likely we were going to be pretty terrible.
  21. It's entirely possible for the Government to be corrupt liars and Matt le Tissier to be guilty of repeating comprehensively debunked conspiracy theories to both be true.
  22. Freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom from consequences for what you say.
  23. Matt le Tissier isn't stupid. He says a lot of stupid things in a stupid way. And for whatever reason he's gone down the social media rabbit hole and come back with these views. I'd lean more towards it being the influence of social media than anything else. I thought the biggest tragedy of his career would be not getting picked for France 98 after putting 3 past Russia in the B international. Seeing this is something else 😞
  24. Finances in football are just nuts. When the Glazers bought Man Utd they simply shifted to cost as debt to the club and have done that every year with dividends. They're over a billion in debt. Abramovich wrote of something like £1.5 billion in debt to Chelsea when he sold. The whole thing seems to be based upon the premise that they'll be able to pay it off later as TV revenues spiral upwards. And that's before the "fair play" rules to prevent anyone but the top clubs spending money. Never mind the points deduction. If you breach it should be down to League Two with you. No questions asked.
