Too much Russball at the back but RM is obviously a sadistic tw*t that likes to see us all suffer before delivering the points. It may be suicidal at times but it makes for edge of your seat viewing. We’ll get demolished in the Prem playing this style of football no matter who we sign but I’d give Russ a year at it tho if we get promoted. Shame about Ipswich but generally a good day! UTFS!!

Agreed. We quite often pick yellows for daft things. Smallbone seems to be a regular offender, and Shea Charles is another that sometimes makes what seem to be poor decisions to pick up a yellow. It hasn’t cost us yet and I wonder if it’s all part of playing right on the edge as we have good cover in those areas. Bednarek on the other hand has been a breath of fresh air this season and his individual errors and rash challenges seem to be few and far between.

I find Alcaraz frustrating, he often gives the ball away. Good job I’m not managing this team as I was calling for his head just before that wonder strike. Same with Adams, useless until he got his goal. We dominated from start to finish as they came to sit behind the ball and take a counter if it came their way. It nearly worked for them too. We’ll need a bit of luck and we got it yesterday in the shape of some poor officials. This is a fantastic run. Well done Saints!

Maybe we’re finally getting the hang of this Russball thing at long last. We’ve had a couple of games now where we’ve been energetic, incisive and the players seem to have a plan. If we can keep putting these types of performances in, what’s not to love?! #We march on ..with cautious optimism!

Boring

Uninspiring game. Too slow getting it forward. Thought we’d limp on to win 1-0 today, which we could put down to “still getting the win even when the performance is poor” but Mara for Che and it all went downhill. Che’s contribution was good enough and was holding the ball up well right up until being taken off. It felt like a bad change at the time.. but it always feels that way when Mara comes on. This one is down to RM’s choices - Not Bazunu or Bednarek cock-ups, they both made significant contributions during the game that kept us in it. We just don’t score enough to play Russball.

Great performance. Would have liked to see AA get his hatrick. The individual errors have been virtually eliminated. Enjoyable to watch. Well done Saints. Well done RM.

Great first half, football was high tempo and good to watch. Second half started sluggish. Sucker punched and thought here we go again. Didn’t really get back into it until the dying moments but this Saints side are starting to show some real grit towards the end of games. Didn’t agree with Sulemana coming off at the time, really wanted him to get his goal. Overall, an enjoyable watch. Well done again Saints & RM. We dream on!

Happy to get a point after a terrible 2nd half. What RM says to them at half time I don’t know. They came out a different team. Subs were back to RM’s usual standard. Bree is a shit left back. Che Adams was garbage again. Mara is a waste of skin. I hope Ross is all he’s hyped up to be so I don’t have to see those two up front for us again. Another two points dropped against play-off rivals. All a bit too predictable.

Credit where credit’s due, good pressure from Saints at the end and generally a better performance from what I could see from my shocking stream. Great win. Martin got the subs correct too today imo. Well done saints. We soldier on!
