  1. I tried asking ChatGPT and it refused 🤣 Also don't bother asking ChatGPT for clues, only things they came up with are Christiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and other "celebrity" players.
  2. Shea Stadium so we are loaning out Shea Charles then. What city is getting bombarded by Thor in the pictures above?
  3. Brownhill crumbled when pitted against a good press last season, so based on that I'd have to say no. Alife Doughty I didn't watch enough of but I think he'd improve on what we have at left-back currently.
  4. Hope we aren't limiting ourselves to the UK for our C option cause we'll struggle to find value for money if we do.
  5. No idea, I'd say probably the same as SaintsExtra but they seem to add their own two cents which I kinda like.
  6. Saints Socialite made the post on it as well and just deleted it a few minutes ago. I don't know what to make of that. Edit: Seems like tweet is back up but referring to a different source.
  7. Since the Matt O'Reilly ship has sailed (most likely) will we be still in the market for a number 8-10 type player?
  8. Funnily Enough Aribo was pretty good for us in the first few games he played for us. Ralph, Jones and then Selles combined coached all of that out of him. I would be happy if we could get him back in the ballpark of the player he was when he first joined over this season.
  9. Which is kinda funny cause statistically the playoff team seems to have both the highest rate of staying up and remaining established in the last two decades.
  10. Ferdi Kadioglu has two years left so Fenerbahce are probably trying to sell him before his value depreciates significantly due to being on his last year. Transfermarkt quoted as 30m, final price might be higher or lower but sure as hell we are not spending 20+ on a left back even if its one of our four areas of concern.
  11. Arsenal probably gave permission for them to speak. Though I think its fair to take it with a grain of salt until either Turkish or Farmer Fella posts a new picture that points to Aaron Ramsdale more clearly, or someone verifies that Dean James is an Arsenal ITK, or more Arsenal reporters start echoing the story.
  12. If he's on 100k a week that's around 4-5m for the year, there's always the possibility of only having to pay a percentage of his Arsenal weekly wage if he were to go on loan here so I find it hard to believe we're skint to the point we couldn't afford whatever we would end up paying for his wages.
  13. If Alfie is tweeting it, then I guess we're getting O'Reilly. Means we'll be trying to use space in behind for through balls like with Armstrong's goal vs Leeds in the playoffs final.
  14. I get the vibe that we'd rather get a shot stopper on loan this season as opposed to straight up buying. But by all means if Lazio are offering loans for him then we should be on the phone to his agent ASAP.
  15. Oops I forgot to mention its Euros so similar ballpark to Bazunu then.
  16. At least 15 mil is what they asked for when Man City inquired about Mandas. Unless we're considering a loan with either the option or no option to buy then I can't see us spending 15m to secure his services.
  17. Oxford up 1-0, good press from Harris and a bit of maybe suspect goalkeeping assisting him.
  18. The Base area and the foul lines form an O and X so Ox (everyone calls him Ox).
  19. In the sea of money I feel like things like good managers improving players beyond what was expected of them is seen as an afterthought, I remember it being a hot topic when Ralph Hasenhuttl was around and how he improved James Ward Prowse.
  20. Was asleep when your responded (+8 GMT). Keyspan and Sharp is a little alternating letter cryptography puzzle that goes: Key Enthusiastic Young Shot Stopper hasn't played as Raya Now Plays -> Aaron Ramsdale. (More hopeful than anything, but cybersecurity was mentioned before so I expect at least one cryptography clue). New York's football team is owned by Red Bull, Keyspan and Sharp are also colored Blue and Red (Red Bull Colors), K - S the left hand bat, this player like Matt O'Reilly is a danish midfielder hence lightning striking twice, its gotta be Red Bull Salzburg's left footed central midfielder Maurits Kjaergaard but we're waiting on their CL playoff fixtures to finish hence why things are quiet. (This one I'm more confident on considering that its a position that we seem very invested in). There was also Martin Baturina with his name meaning there are two Martins hence the double lightning bolt, Dinamo = Dynamo -> Electricity -> Lightning, and of course Baturina -> Bat -> Baseball. I've never seen wordplay clues ever be correct so outside of the "double" martin I doubt this one is correct plus he's also in the >20m bracket but is a central midfielder like Kjaergaard and O'Reilly.
  21. You could find a dozen players that you could interpret from those pictures so the likelihood of a picture being completely wrong is "highly unlikely". Its a pretty fool proof approach to reporting on rumors that people not well versed in cryptography or mensa style maths would struggle to make sense of hence why it keeps journos out of the loop (unless there's a journo that's a mathematics pro on the side). I managed to find clues for four possible alternatives to Matt O'Reilly in the New York Mets/Lightning Image, all four are either left footed or right footed players who are good with their left foot and all I'd say are up there with Matt O'Reilly.
  22. Lazio's midfield doing a "Gennaro Gattuso impersonation act done badly" was not what I had on my bingo card for today's game.
  23. I think in the case of O'Reilly it'll all be on Celtic playing the shrewd businessman game rather than agents as I'd find it hard to believe that O'Reilly's parents would whispering in his ear that playing under Russell Martin ain't it anymore.
  24. I was looking back at the highlights of the Oxford preseason match and I was surprised to find out then and there that Des Buckingham had been managing them since 2023. Now it makes that game feel not as bad now cause Des Buckingham is a seriously good manager, you pretty much have to be to be in order to be dominant in a league that has salary caps enforced since money is not an advantage. Postecoglou of Tottenham did it in Australia and Des Buckingham did it in India. Knowing that he's at the helm for Oxford they're going to shock everyone in the Championship mark my words. Though for us its also maybe a tad concerning granted that Des uses varied pressing tactics which we'll likely have to deal with a lot in the premier league. Don't believe me? This guy broke 17 records in the Indian Super League as documented here: https://www.mumbaicityfc.com/news/mumbai-city-fc-announce-departure-of-head-coach-des-buckingham
  25. Maurits Kjaergaard another more affordable but good quality alternative to Matt O'Reilly (also left footed like Matt O'Reilly), just scored a brace for Salzburg in the Champions League playoff round (Salzburg despite being a gegenpressing team usually dominate the ball in their league so their players I'd expect they would be good with and without the ball). I sure hope we're not allowing Celtic to pigeonhole ourselves in this race to secure a central midfield/attacking midfield reinforcements.
