Today's game ironically when looking at fixtures was an easier game. An apparent crap team. Now we have relegation teams which are must win or Saints get stuck in bottom six, or top teams who are far better football outfits. Now back to the next game will kick start season. Just kick the ball towards the goal its not difficult every team does that task very well against us. Over complicating tactics rather than just playing basic football. End October is it possible to get a run of wins for 6th, another 20 games run.

I don't think we can change as negative mindset is so automatic from playing negative football its second nature. Instead of instant decision anywhere are players, stop, look left, right, behind then who is there as option, no one, kick side ways, oh hold on be safe I cant think for myself let's go back and side, you have it, no you have it, who's in space no one. The longer Saints carry on with negative football the longer it will take to change. Each game will be the same, we cant risk playing football so let's carry on and sort next game.

He could have purchased a whole new squad to play his style whatever that is instead of applying RM style. By the time he gets going it will be November. We looked very poor today, not just my observation but many in stadium. How can half the teams in championship pay £5m or less for a bunch of players and play better, and get results. We struggle to do anything quickly, to decide quickly to shoot or pass, cross or play out from back. Its just too RM like.

After today's object performance and tactics Hull 2-0 Saints. Doesn't matter who we have in team the tactics and subs stop us having any aggressive momentum. Hull are another difficult team playing proper football which we will find difficult to cope with.

We need to focus on avoiding relegation, no where near top end. Its the same football as last season.

How can we win games if there is no intent or purpose in trying to win games. No one at the club has spotted this flaw in our football which is a big worry.

Totally confusing, why not play all the best players in for 1st and 2nd half.

Fans got more coins on target than tge players shots on goal. If any of our players bothered the pass to the Saints fan who ran on the pitch we would have scored. How can a fan run faster than a professional player??

God if was poor football, lack of passion, creativity we were just out played by Pompey and thier football which was supposed to be worse than ours but ended up miles better. 0-0 Derby.Another home game set for a draw, no intention to win in 1st half. How Pompey didn't score at least 3 is a mystery. Bring back Russell Martin he is the original possession master. 1st derby in over 40 years completely bored. We need a keeper and 2 goal scorers its not difficult Saints just get some players in who at Championship level at minimum.

Utter rubbish worse than Russell Martin. Should be 4 down. Saints are really bad. Can't pass, no creativity, getting cutcdown by runners too easy. Don't think players look bothered.

Pompey coaches

Containment has been our main game plan at home. High press means we get caught on the break. Let's hope its something different v Pompey.

Pompey would have looked at video from our games and think this is sn easy win. That's why thier calling fif aggression as we don't deal well at all with any sort of attack in air, through mid and defence or wing. Even a golden assisted a throw the length of pitch. In reality we don't have a working team yet and we don't know when a run of wins will come. The best ace we hold is no one knows what the new players will do tomorrow. Will they all play, will it be new tactics, will the keeper turn up, is there a goal scorer, will we continue slow football. Saints could bore Pompey to death. The only way we can win is to not play as we have been and surprise the fans and the opposition. Forget the fact we are on paper the biggest team but that's irrelevant as it hasn't worked so far. I still have recuring nightmares that Saints will play the same way as v Stoke. I just don't think we can change style and tactics one game on to the biggest game of the season. Bore draw 0-0 would be better than a loss.

Doesn't look good good him. The players are good enough but if they get cut adrift next 2 or 3 games clubs get rid asap. Except Saints

Got told to take it off by police once on train to Fratton and once off tge bubble coach. They will confiscate next time. Got an asbo ticket once !!

4 at back is more reliable as players don't get out of position as much or shouldn't. The problem Saints have is the slow style of play they are ground anyone. Combine very slow game plan with 3 at back or even 5 and you get the usual opposition just cut through or run un marked. 4-4-2 allows cover in front and behind the two lines of 4. Its simple and easy to speak to thd person next to you to go forward I'll cover or back, sideways. It maybe the new players have the pace needed for 3 of 5 at back. But we won't see this in action until they are in team. I don't think Saints have any idea what system to use of which player to play where and what role. Which is why teams have just found it easy to play through or long ball us. Let's hope Saints know what their doing tomorrow.
