Presumably some of the same scouts and recruitment team that recruited some of these tossers is responsible for selecting who goes. Doesn’t bode well. The last couple of years the scouting & suggestions are better on here than they are by the actual club. Hopefully we sack all the scouts at the same time we sack all the players.

I remember when the Venky’s bought Blackburn. They had lots of money and “amazing long term plans”. Same with Everton’s owners, and countless others. It’s all well and good having money, but if you spend it with as little intelligence as SR have shown, you are fucked. It’s all good wanking off about grand plans, but their decision making has been appalling. I wouldn’t trust them to run a bath let alone a football club.

Lavia definitely has a higher ceiling and is also fantastic. But the stats don’t lie. Assists, goals, distance covered, tackles, interceptions.. JWP is better on all of them. On top of that he loves the club and is a leader to the squad. He will be a huge miss. You’re insulting the wrong person. There are many reasons we are shite, but JWP isn’t one. He is a top PL player.

He was a victim to the fact we had much better options. He would stroll into our side every week now comfortably. (In his prime - although maybe even at his current age) On the CB note, I hope we can convince Stephens to stay. Think he’d be class at championship level.

We are such a joke of a club. Danso was clearly a decent prospect and yet he never got a chance except for five minutes at full back for some reason. When he got a couple of minutes at CB he looked really good. We have literally made horrendous decision after horrendous decision for the last few years.
