Don’t really want someone nice/popular in charge Would prefer smart/tough/ruthless.

I would rather shit in my hands and clap than read that

Fantastic news. Real prospect. Possibly the the best youngster we’ve had since Bale
-
Sounds more like his agent trying to drum up a bidding war and get him a new deal at Leicester to be honest
-
I feel sorry for the lad. He’s been thrown in way above his head. Could turn into a great keeper in a few years, but he has been properly hung out to dry by the club. I would be happy with him as a back up, but if we are serious about promotion we have to have someone who knows his trade IMO

Will Smallbone - Official: Loaned to Millwall

Thought he had a very good game today. Seemed to bring the best out of Prowsey as well -
Promising signs I would say. Can see that we have been working on passing and moving and keeping hold of the ball. Really appreciated RM coming over to the fans before the game. Nice touch. Should/could have won by more. Would be nice to have some clarity over who will go & who will stay.

Decent player, slagged off by way too many on here. All attacking players are inconsistent unless you spunk 100mil +. He was a good bottom half PL player and better than all our other options tbh
-
Agree. Ultimately Tino is wayyy too good for the championship. We all know it. His advisors and family must too. Can’t begrudge him a move back up to the top division and beyond into the CL. Good luck to him. It’s a shame the club has regressed to the point where we can’t keep hold of him for a bit longer; but that’s the reality.
-
Have you forgotten we’ve been relegated? Neither of those guys would come to the championship in a million years
-
His passing was a joke to be fair
-
I don’t think you can say that for certain. (I agree it’s likely though as we were crap all over the park as you said). There was a time at the start of the season under Ralph that we looked ok for a few games. Momentum is a huge thing in top level football. Maybe a few lucky wins or clean sheets around the time Lavia got injured and the whole season could have been different. Romeu was a hugely important leader for the club and it was a shambles letting him go without a fight. If there is one lesson I hope the club learned from this relegation it’s that experience & leadership qualities are irreplaceable
-
Chuffed for him, but he should still be here. Yet another damning indictment (in a very long list) of how the people running the club don’t understand football & spot a decent player.
-
Nice bloke. Shite player. Good luck in your career

Stephens is the only centre back I’d actually keep if given the choice. Has the right attitude and I think he will be good in the champ. The rest are awful, have terrible attitudes or a combination of both. But I don’t think it would be hard for us to improve on any of them based on last couple of years worth of evidence.
-
Agree, but I think it’s because we were managed by successive frauds & they were surrounded by dross. That midfield 3 should have kept us up easily IMO. Potentially a top half midfield. Lavia is an absolutely wonderful footballer. In a better team he will absolutely thrive, I have zero doubt. He is to CDM what VVD was to CB.

Miles better than Aribo, Edozie, Elyonoussi & Adam Armstrong… For all his faults, at least he was a lower premier league level player. He got goals and assists semi-regularly, plus seemed like he gave a shit about the club. None of the above is revisionist, it was obvious.
-
I know it’s only preseason and you can’t judge anything from it But you would hope to see some fight or something from the players. At least trying to win/score. This is worse than Sunday league. What the fuck is going on at the club?

Classic saints

Just kicked in for me. Cmon saints

Shocking player. Glad he’s gone. Should have kept Harrison Reed and given him a chance instead of signing dross like Diallo and Clasie before that.
-
I think £6.5mil for Salisu would be a great deal for us. He has been utter toilet for ages. He is living off the memory of about 5 good games when he first signed. All he does is give it away and make rash challenges. Combined with his shit attitude & last year of his deal I think we are laughing at that price.
-
Another quality signing from them. They have a lot of work to do this window, but they seem to be doing it very well so far.

There are many things that we can slate the club for last season. Taking a punt on a young star from city’s academy isn’t one of them. He did look good at times as well. I just don’t get why fans have to slate such a young player. I think it reflects very badly on a few of you.
