WBA seems to have been awful of late. Maybe they will lose or draw yet again, they just seem to have the jitters thus I would not be shocked to seem them bow out at the last hurdle.
-
We will get Norwich, Hull will sneak into 5th i reckon. The final will be Hull vs Norwich.

I see a lot of people sort of sticking up for RM here and to some extent I agree that finishing 4th was very good and beyond what I expected. But that does not tell the whole story. he still clearly does not know his best 11. He puts people in wrong positions, changes the line up for no reason other than change, makes poor and reactive subs. I think sadly he is a lower league manager who cannot handle big squads. He would be better with a smaller club smaller squad so he does not get confused. I truly believe with a different manager, a more standard playing style manager we could have been top two. We dropped a lot of points due to bad line up and sub decisions and changing rotating stuff for no reason.

Is it just me, or is that a performance that shows a team not playing for their manager?
-
Actually, you are probably right here.....being a yo-yo club probably is better for them.
-
Totally agree. So, it makes you wonder, what are the people at the top thinking? Are they aware of this or are they not watching and that bothered?
-
I am not sure this is true. How many times have we lost badly only to go on and win the next game well, Bristol City and WBA for example. I think it is more about the blend of certain players who like playing together, get on well and understand each other well. I think the next two games we need to bring in fringe youngsters who have something about them and see if they can work well with the regulars that we know have to play. That said, I really don't think it will make much difference. I don't think we have a chance in hell at the play offs as the players have been lost by the manager. They have had enough and now RM's supporter JW has gone, they are not gonna play ball.
-
I am gonna get stick for this no question, but I do genuinely have a good friend at the club who says a lot behind the scenes is not good. RM is upset JW has gone and the players I am told are happy JW has gone and it has caused a bit of a rift in the dressing room. RM will not be here next season, nailed on.
-
I would not risk Downes. Auto's are gone. We should now be bringing in Charles and SAA and Dibling etc., to see what they can do with the play offs in mind.
-
They both played pretty well in their early games for us and have gotten worse, I suspect due to the coaching. I suspect a lot of our players are fed up with the silly tactics and substitutions that are fucking us up.
-
We were never ever going up with RM in charge. It is very clear he is a fool to himself. No plan B, second half always crap. Subs useless and reactive. We will never go up with this man in charge. Hopefully now JW has gone we will get a new manager and new direction in the summer.

Cardiff should be on the beach, as the old saying goes so really we should roll them over with little resistance as we did Preston. We should. Of course, another must win and for once I really think we will win. They are very poor at home having lost 9 already this season. I have probably jinxed it now as i rarely feel so positive about a game as this one. In fact I think we will beat Cardiff, Leicester and Stoke. No idea about the Leeds game as it will I think hugely depend on their situation as to what Leeds team we face. If we do, then I can see Leicester being very nervous when we play them next week.
-
In fact you are scared about it, that is why you and many others refuse to consider the possibility we may be right as it scares you.
-
So very sad that people are so myopic and refuse to see obvious signs that something just don't add up. Still, give it 4 or 5 years and I predict 50% of you will start to realise you have been lied to about many things for many years.
-
Preston are very average away from home, and in fact as they are at home, very inconsistent and unpredictable. They can play a bit and can battle, which we don't like. We could do with some physical presence in midfield for this one, but as discussed many times, RM is unlikely to go with Shea. Of course it goes without saying this is a must win and it would be interesting to see how much the pressure would change the top 3 if we do win this one and get even closer with still a game in hand. Preston record away. 11 Preston 20 7 5 8 21 24 -3 26
-
Frustrating as we will probably go and win this and it will make no difference to the final season outcome as we are nailed on playoffs.
-
I think i am right in saying, if we win our two game sin hand we will still be 4 points behind second place, yes? So 5 as we have a far worse GD. That would mean we have to get 5 points more than second place, in the last 4 games, so 1.25 points per game more. Not going to happen even if we win all 6 i suspect.
-
I think it is clear that you are the one who is touchy, having crowed about understanding grammar etc., then totally misunderstanding a simple statement lol.
-
You got it wrong, suck it up.
-
So presumably you know the difference between Just about everything, and absolutely everything? If so, why ask me about the media talking about RM signing a new contract? I think u slightly messed up huh. Never mind.
-
You do understand the term JUST about everything, yes?
-
Just about everything in MSM is nuts and BS designed to keep people divided and in fear etc.
-
Hence we will not win this game. MR is a good manager and I suspect had we employed him we would be top 3 now. He will have them up for this; they have to win. We don't. And we won't.
-
Here is the problem. RM plays a very specific style. So, it takes players time to get used to it and into the swing of it. So, in the summer when we have another large rebuild after losing many of our best players, we will again have an indifferent start to the season as players get used to the tactics in real life matches. In conclusion this will not work. If we do not win the play offs we need to get show of RM and get a new manager and start a new normal style of play that will work with second tier players.
-
Or Leeds, though the way Leicester are going, we may well beat them. Happy to finish 4th and play WBA in 5th. We won't win the play offs anyway, but it might be a bit of a learning curve for next season. Problem is, to be in contention next season we need to ditch this style of play and get a new manager.
