  1. Does anyone know of any shop other than the Saints store which does shirt printing and would have the right style number and letters? My son wanted to buy himself the yellow and blue away shirt and have 7 Le Tissier on the back, however after buying it they let us know that they have run out of S's 🤣 So that ruled out Scienza, Downes, Fellows and others too. The staff there seem to think they won't have any more in before Wembley, which seems crazy to me considering there will likely be a rise in shirt sales as the China sites won't deliver in time. I thought JD sports used to, but apparently not any more. Seems mental that only Saints can do it, and they are able to run out of letters!
  2. I had no problems with that. I followed the advice from some who had issues yesterday and made sure the Friends & Family i was buying for were not logged in on any other devices etc. Some phones etc remember the details and keep you logged in, so had to manually log out.
  3. One bit of advice for anyone waiting to get on, it is likely the first seats you pick, that it will then say they are no longer available and suggest nearby alternatives. Even after that, still double check when you go to the next screen, as it changed again and tried to put my 9 year old son a few rows behind me, so had to go back and modify the seat choice again. Can see it being quite easy to miss that it has changed. Obviously the system tries to prioritise not leaving any single seats, over people sitting together.
  4. Actually I cant read a calendar, it's the Wednesday before, so could likely still be the Saturday 🤞
  5. Would be a decent away day if it was on the Saturday, but they have West Ham on the Thursday before, so will definitely be the Sunday or Monday.
  6. This thread sums up everything I hate with football these days. FA Cup weekends used to be a highlight of the season. Now the trend seems to be that it is edgy to not care about it, and all about the league. For a club like Saints, it is very rare when in February we won't either be looking at going up, or in a relegation battle, or at least looking over our shoulder. For me supporting saints is wanting to see them hopefully win a major trophy in my lifetime. Yes the chance is next to f*ck all, but there is still a chance. Just hate the arrogance towards the cups these days from fans, when those competitions have given us a large proportion of the most memorable moments.
  7. Surely people have to realise it will be a cheap option for the replacement? SR rightly being hounded out the club, and will be planning their own exit strategy. "Sports Republic, get out of our club (but chuck another few million in for a new manager on the way out)"
  8. I really wish we all stopped pretending we are some sort of football purists and the "style of football" the new manager plays is what we care about. Because it's all bollocks and we just want to win. Look at it under Martin last season. Win first game against Sheff Wed and we think we are Barca, a few weeks later when lost 3 or 4 on spin and beaten 5-0 at Sunderland, it was the style of play letting us down. Go on 26 match unbeaten run, and it's back to the Barca days.Wobble before the playoffs and it's back to "GET IT FORWARDS". Win at Wembley and all is well. The common theme is the results. Let's not pretend it's anything different. No manager is going to come in and play some route 1 bollocks, it will all be much of muchness whoever it is, and the gimps can still pretend to spout a load of nonsense about xG, cooking and redemption curves.
  9. Agree. Was similar under Adkins. Had some games where we were brilliant and destroyed teams, other games where we got an early goal and then just managed the game and saw it out.
  10. This is the problem with the love in for Rohl for me. Of course we should base our next appointment on what the "reaction" of gimps on twitter, and not on footballing reasons such as a manager who has taken a team up and kept them up, which matches our target. For me, as long as the new manager has decent hair and can pull off a decent hip hip hooray to the Northam Wall, then that is all that matters. Anyone who would rather Rohl over Cooper is basing it on non footballing reasons for me and more how they'll hold up in twitter battlee and how trendy they are and if they will cook. If he wasn't called Steve and looked like he ate a landmine, it would be a no brainer.
  11. Huddersfield stayed up in their first season, finished above us. The main reason they stayed up was they were hard to beat and conceded only 58 goals, less than the 63 our team conceded in the championship last season. They accepted they lacked quality and set themselves up in a way which gave them a chance and were hard to beat. Rather than our current approach of blindly approaching each game with the belief that we will completely dominate and control the game which just isn't going to happen however possession, xG or any other wanky stats are glossed up.
  12. Yes we were better up until the penalty, but that's completely not true that they hadn't had a shot and their goals were against the run of play. Before the pen, they had the best chance of the game where Zirkzee had a free shot from around 8 yards out which was scuffed and well saved by Ramsdale. The first 30 mins were much better, but let's not overhype it like we were creating endless chances. Was mainly some efforts from long range, bar Lesley wasting a free header. Always had the feel of a championship team in a big cup game and lots of energy but always going to end up how it did.
  13. That's my point. And all of us who have been to the game call them out on it and dismiss their opinion as being over the top, toxic, trolls etc and label them as "armchair fans". But comes to England and we are all the same!! From what I have seen the majority of fans who follow England everywhere, whilst still being critical, have not been anywhere near the level of reactionary, irrational, toxic narrative from the "armchair fans". They have offered a bit more balance and perspective.
  14. One observation from Euro 24 is that the term "armchair fan" does not apply. With Saints, there is a disregard for any opinion of a fan who does not go to the games, and their opinion of tactics, players or manager is not as valid as those travelling to the games. However with England that rule does not apply.
  15. Completely agree with this. My first attempt i tried to pick 2 seats but got kicked out when going to checkout, after another 45 min wait i used the auto select seats, luckily checked and it was trying to put me and my 7 year old son in different blocks and rows, had to go through this 3 or 4 more times and finally got 2 that were next to eachother. I think there are still more blocks to open, but the system is desperate to do it block by block with no gaps left, that it just makes it a complete ordeal. Shouldn't be that hard to just buy 2 tickets. Would have genuinely rather be stood out St Marys with every other nutter from 3am onwards.
