  1. Quite right. The hints and subtle indications of what is to come really help make it. It's a long lot of scene setting but utterly essential.
  2. Isn't that Dawn Porter? Stay.
  3. While DS9 is still on the agenda. My favourite Star Trek character has to be Weyoun (all of them). He felt the most 'alien' of all characters but remained surprisingly complex, utterly commited to his own cause and yet capable of some sincerely good comedic moments to complement the serious/villanous parts. Still laugh thinking about the scene when he is looking at a painting, it went something along these lines.... Weyoun, "So, this is a painting, by Gul Dukat's daughter........?" A.N.Other, "Yes....." Weyoun, "Is it any.................. good?" Gul Dukat was another superb character, a great villain.
  4. Oh yes! Brilliant, utterly brilliant. The episode 'The Jem Hadar' at the end of series two is also outstanding... The shock and awe at the end when the Jem Hadar warship commits it's Kamakaze attack, utterly unexpected.
  5. As many of you have read, this place has an awfully inconsistent record on serving people. Their 'we don't need to answer you, we just don't want you here,' attitude which has boarder line racist, sexist and elitist overtones has left a lot of ill feeling towards it. Hopefully this is the straw that breaks the camels back and drives it out of existence. That hollow appology is far too little, far too late!!
  6. They are already on it apparently.
  7. The backlash to this is telling me otherwise.
  8. A big mistake. Always convenient that they only attacked one ship at a time before though.....
  9. Just wanted to bring attention to something that has occured in my adopted home. A bar in the city centre called 'Browns' refused to serve a group of servicemen who had just attended a funeral of one of their colleagues, Cpl Michael Thacker. This has caused a fair bit of shock in the city and the bar is now suffering something of a backlash. Their argument was that serving military personnel in dress uniform is illegal.... which sound like total b*llocks to me, especially as they were trying to order tea/coffee. As I said, wanted to raise awareness of this and the protest group on facebook. Thankyou for your time. https://www.facebook.com/groups/334164269991095/
  10. Ah, Miss Deus Ex Machina herself, do you have a problem!? Don't worry, she will develop an ability so you can over come it!
  11. Very good. It only really got going once the character 'Scorpious' was introduced mind (end of the first series pap....) The finale mini-series 'The Peacekeeper Wars' was a great conclusion.
  12. That's the one. And a type of gun based martial arts for the action sequences. The ludicrous 'Gun Kata' which also featured in Kurt Wimmer's next film..... the simply awful 'Ultraviolet.'
  13. We shall see, i'm no fan of it (despite it growing on me.... or is that just me kind of getting used to the idea... not sure...) but can see some kind of twisted logic in there.
  14. Made on an Amiga if I remember correctly! haha
  15. I was also dissapointed to see Star Trek: Enterprise end after 4 series. The 4th series was the first one to actually get it right! Shame the whole temporal war/Xindi plotlines killed the series off.
  16. We play in stripes - No-one cares We play in mainly red - Someone, maybe not someone very important but some outside the bubble will notice. I'm not saying it will be an epic thing or even a particularly successful one but it will be something some people will notice and will get them talking about Saints.
  17. It will get a reaction. Saints are playing in all red this year. Wait.... what?
  18. Like pap I am a Niner. I have enjoyed all modern Star Trek series put particularly enjoyed DS9. The cast was superb, the overall storylines brilliant and the idea of a story telling a tale of a vast epic and politically diverse war absolutely captivated my then teenage mind. Recently I have absolutely loved the remake of Battlestar Galactica, even if it did lose it's focus a little at the end. Like many I discovered Firefly only after seeing the film Serenity. Incredibly good series that was killed off far too soon. Not sure if it counts as Science Fiction but more verges on superstition and horror, Being Human is a recent favourite... and it has survived a complete main cast change and has emerged even stronger in my opinion. That takes a lot! Doctor Who takes me in a fits and spots. I sometimes like it (Currently and David Tennant alongside Billy Piper) sometimes don't really care (David Tennant alongside Martha Jones.... bloody awful and towards the end of his run, just went far too OTT) and the same with Torchwood, really did enjoy Miracle Day but lost interest before the end of the second series. Favourite films: Event Horizon, Aliens series, Sunshine (Danny Boyles best film) and Equilibrium (Great action/sci fi matrix rip off.)
  19. The Sash has however already been done and as a design wouldn't have worked as well with a sponsor. We have a sponsor that needs accomodating and have gone for something different. Whether that will be a success or not we'll soon see, but it will get more people talking about the club then a simple striped shirt ever will.
  20. The thing is, it will get people talking, will get us noticed by those outside. Much the same way our Sash kit did.... only more so. Saints are back in the Premier League... but not as you would have expected.
  21. [MLG Mode]But our home socks were red.[/MLG Mode]
  22. Hate to say it, but the idea of the pin-stripe kit has been growing on me.
  23. I believe it's essentially added scenes to the ending a a further clarification of the final few chapters. The release on the Bioware website says it is best enjoyed if you have a save game from before the attack on the Cerberus base.
  24. A documentary followed three players with international ambition on the run up to Euro 2004, they where all given portable cameras and recorded 'behind the scenes insight,' which was then shown on Sky 1. Beatts was one of the three, I forget who the other two were.
  25. I remember that documentary... not great television but there was a genuine novelty of having the insight from a player trying to establish himself in the national team. Of course doing something like that to raise your own profile at the expense of the team will only serve to a achieve exactly the opposite. No need to slate the skate on this one, he's just confirming what we already knew, Beatts was a bit of a cock.
