  1. What a genuinely deep and insightful article.
  2. Got to love satire.
  3. I wouldn't wish that fate on anyone.
  4. Quite right. Frankly, to afford to have 3 children is a job incredibly well done!
  5. Absolutely, a complete non-starter.
  6. There is something quite gratifying when they do happen though!
  7. I do sympathise with the children. Don't get me wrong, but the parents should take responsibility to at least some sort of degree for bringing life into the world that they didn't have the contingency or resource to cater for!! It's the old 'is it a right or a privilage' to have children debate again.
  8. His comments of 'we could never have foreseen the collapse of Converse' was very telling. He doesn't care who they sell to... or at least doesn't want to scratch beneath the surface too heavily in case of seeing how flawed they are. Also, he stated Balram Chainrai is keeping his hand in.... interesting!
  9. Surprised Hammond v Leeds isn't in there. Particularly as Lallana v Ispwich is (important goal but not the best.) For me it's between Guly v Blackpool and Connolly v Boro.
  10. Ten children!? TEN!?
  11. All we need is a work permit then.
  12. Tommy Forecast joins Winchester City
  13. With Rickie's suspension will we have that luxury?
  14. None of them have Lambert's scoring history, but we could have two of them. It would risk destabilising the squad and without an at least equal replacement. Whichever way I look at it, unless it was genuinely insane money, I wouldn't do it.
  15. Fair comment (not sure about the 'Hoover' nickname though. ) I was just trying to pick out players who had recently been missing or shown a drop in form. No doubt though the Jos and Cork have become very, very important for us.
  16. Our recent form has had me questioning that assumption. I fear that weaknesses in our playing staff have been covered up by the good individual form, shrewd tactical set up that the team has been experiencing until recently. Take out Lambert, Fonte, Chaplow and strip Lallana of his form and we all of a sudden have severe difficulties. Poor out wide with low levels of creativity going forward. David's question is an extremely good one... but like all of this nature I suspect there is not one clear answer.
  17. I am having a bit of an argument with my Dad about this one, he is convinced that Newcastle are going to break the bank for him. It is a low-brow thread, but I want him to see the error of his rationale....... he would accept the sale!!!
  18. A premiership side needing a striker get desperate.... a bid for 10 million is submitted to us for Rickie. 1. We could accept it, reinvest the money in the hope of boosting the squad and going for a premiership push. 2. Or we rufuse, unwilling to sell our talisman as he has been key so far. This quesion has been here before, but considering our situation now, with him out for 3 games (appeal pending... hopefully) and 11 days until our next league fixture, do we go sh*t or bust? Personally, I feel it would be madness to let him go.
  19. Ah, now, do we?
  20. As I understand it, the bridges have been burnt.
  21. If you want a dancing game for Kinnect, try Dance Central 2. Same thing, diffrent console.
  22. That would be..... A surprise!!
  23. And maybe that is why, despite not being our most consistently influential player on the pitch, he is our captain.
  24. I read that as QPR and a Serie A team wanted him but he chose us over them.
  25. The question is, how long can you flog a dead horse for?
