  1. Gary O'Neil does a decent job everywhere he's been. Not a fucking chance in hell I'd have him here though and neither would he come here. I think that's a given.
  2. Yeah. With Mel Morris breaking every FFP rule there was to break and signing Premier League players and half of Chelsea's best young talent. They had the best team in the Championship by miles and should have absolutely walked that League and he didn't get promoted. With the squad and backing he had, he massively screwed that up and it was a far weaker League when he was there. He's doing "ok" with Coventry, not doing anything fucking sensational by any stretch. He's better than effing Gerrard though that's for sure. But that's not saying much.
  3. Lampard our Gerrard would be awful appointments. They're a notch above Rooney. I can see SportsRepublic going for one of those more than Rohl though. Tbh.
  4. This will be the EXACT response from the majority of our fanbase: "Terribly sorry for the inconvenience at not using my ticket, don't worry about applying the credit, my fault entirely. Here's my card, please charge me for the full amount".
  5. In the purest sense of the question the LAST time was promotion at Wembly. Other than that, people talk about the Koeman days but we played some breathtaking football under Poch. We were absolutely fucking next level at times, our press game was fucking incredible.
  6. Christ on a bike.
  7. If that's true, £76k a week for Mcarthy is fucking nutbar stuff.
  8. I don't know but they will They absolutely will have options outside of Southampton. Their agents will blame this season on the manager, the formations, the owners, the fucking tea lady you name it to sell their clients.
  9. Some of you are going to be in for a rude awakening. The squad won't be anything like the squad we had that got promoted, these players will have options. And I don't think they'll want to stick around next season and neither will their agents.
  10. I just couldn't see us ever doing it.
  11. I would seriously fucking doubt it.
  12. He should have been sacked well before that but CERTAINLY for me, I was expecting to see a corner flag on the club's Twitter account after that statement. I thought he was genuinely gone when he said that. I've never seen a manager survive attacking the fans to the press when results were as bad as they were.
  13. Bloke just sits on here for hours on end arguing the toss about stupid shit. Got no life at all. I read an expression somewhere, never argue with someone who actually wants to fight.
  14. Fucking hell. I've just read that Prowse is allegedly on £115,000 a week at West Ham. His agent had them over there.
  15. We've been chasing that type of manager since Koeman. And Koeman outright publicly said we need to spend and we have never been willing to spend money on the calibre of players to play THAT style of football. Unless you've got a Paul Mitchell type knocking around the club and that ship has long sailed and never returned to port.
  16. That's my fucking point. How are you not getting that? I literally SAID the only worse scenario would be that situation. Hence "Ken Anderson".
  17. Correct. But it was absolutely beyond fucking obvious he wasn't up to it by October. We held on and on and on and on. That WAS stupid.
  18. That's why I mentioned "Ken Anderson". Helps to read the whole post.
  19. What you say on here doesn't matter. Actual match goers are giving the club a fucking standing ovation. Imo, it's not just him. I want the entire rabble of SportsRepublic gone. Just fucking sell us. They are shambolic. Ownership cannot get any worse. The only worse scenario would be a Ken Anderson at Bolton type.
  20. Then read it again. I didn't say cancel. I'm pretty sure I didn't say cancel.
  21. That was my point.
  22. Yes because that's exactly what I said isn't it.
  23. At what point does it become chronically awkward for a player knowing full well they're absolutely stealing a living? People saying a "contract is a contract" but at what point does it become awkwardly embarrassing for a player that wouldn't make them knock on the gaffers door and say "ok let's work something out"... I personally couldn't continue to take a full wage knowing fully bloody well I'm not fit for purpose. If we've handed this guy a full contract with no appearance clauses in it, then that's breathtakingly stupid given his injury record. But for me, there has to be a point where personal fucking pride from the player kicks in... Because this is absolutely pathetic and farcical now.
  24. Sure. Ok fine. How's being passive and soft as shite working out for us?...
