I think in light of today's developments we can pretty much assume every name we've been linked with as bullshit. No way would the club be looking to install a permanent manager while it's up for sale. Mind you... Having a guy in place could help the sale but don't takeovers generally bring in their own people. They haven't had the inside track on saints in YEARS. Blackmore gets the odd exclusive here and there but he's never been "ahead" on anything in I don't know how long. By the time either of them say anything it's hardly fucking news. And also...Blackmore went in pretty hard on SportsRepublic with studs up a few weeks ago so I'm guessing his access is about zero these days. I don't think I've ever seen him dig out club hierarchy while he was still getting exclusives.

I reckon this has been the rudest of rude awakenings for Solak and it's hit him like a ton of bricks how much it takes to compete in the Premier League for a club of our size. It's near on fucking impossible unless you're a mega billionaire Solak is rich, but is he Premier League football club owner rich? If I'm Solak and I've just had the season we've just had, I would be thinking what's the fucking point.

I agree with what you're saying but this is not the kind of thing you'd just blurt out for a reaction. This is the sort of thing people get sued for. Simon Jordan can be a tosspot of the highest order, but seriously he's not that daft especially in the presence of Jim White who is supposed to be very connected to Solak. I didn't hear the piece, but I'd be interested to know from anyone that did, what Whites reaction was when Jordan said it. I feel that's quite important here.. it would add a hell of lot of context.

I probably dislike them equally if not MORE than that racket down the road. Their behaviour around Mane, VVD & Lallana (particularly him) was fucking scandalous. In Mane & VVD's case they literally flouted regulations in plain site. I'll never forgive the club for buckling in the Mane transfer and I'm still not over it. Even back then, the way we let him go with a FULL pre-season too was a fucking disgrace. If we were set on selling him we should have at least strung it out. Sissoko went to spurs for more or less the same money we let Mane go for that same season. Klopps behaviour was diabolical. Letting them off with an apology was pathetic.
