Maskell does share a record with Mike Channon of scoring on both his first and second debuts with Saints
-
I went over the senior age for the coming season and had the same thing. Email the ticket office and they will change his category so you can then renew online. They did it for me in a matter of minutes

Have done research in my programme collection. In 1976/77 the badge appeared mainly embroidered directly on the shirt. But in the home 3rd round cup tie against Chelsea it appeared on a plain black circle for some players - notably Channon - but not all of them. That mix continued for the rest of the season. I guess it might be just the one shirt that Channon wore, as unlike now they didn't get a new shirt for every game. From the start of the next season 1977/78, we had the new circular badge with the FA Cup winners legend. As I recall, the replica kits didn't originally come with a badge. Certainly the away shirt I had for Christmas 1977 came with a separate badge that my mum had to stitch on. But by the end of the promotion season the replica shirts did have a vinyl version of the circular badge - I suspect that didn't withstand many washes before it cracked.

The badge started appearing on a plain black circle at the end of 76, for example it was seen in the FA Cup 3rd game against Chelsea. But by the end of the season it was modified to include "FA cup winners 1976" below the badge. That remained for as long as we had the Admiral shirts - right through to 1980. I thought it was a bit embarrassing that we were still referencing the cup win four years on. But then for years after 1975 Fulham had "FA cup finalists 1975" underneath their badge.

However, a few months into that season the badge was put on a black circular background

One thing I like to wind Arsenal supporters up with is to refute the claim they often make is that they have never been relegated. Because they were relegated in 1913. The truth is they have never won promotion. They were elected into the first division after World War 1 after a rather suspect voting process (with allegations of corruption), despite only having finished sixth in the second division before the war ended league football.

Don't like the gold trim. Three colours should be the maximum for a football kit. And there is nothing for Saints to celebrate with gold at the moment
-
It is so frustrated that designers with talent and a feeling for Saints can design brilliant kits that the fans would love and sell well. Yet the kit manufacturers employ utter dolts who can't even do collars and create heritage replicas of kits that never existed in the first place.

I think 140 years is a bit of a made up anniversary. But we could do 25 years of St Marys for 2026/27
-
At St Mary's, Villa benefited from some of the most nakedly biased officials I have ever seen. This was just part of the evening out over the season. And as was pointed out by a caller on the radio, but for the failure of goal-line technology in Villa's favour against Sheffield United they would have been relegated in 2021

Saints 1-2 Arsenal - Thank F**k it’s All Over Thread
Kenilworthy59 replied to Lighthouse's topic in The Saints
After being treated for injury Saka left the pitch and then came back on without the permission of Darren Bond. The referee told him to go back off. The mandatory punishment for entering the pitch without the referee's permission is a yellow card. But not it seems if you play for Arsenal. -
Surely something based on "You're still the one" by Shania Twain
-
I think Dave Merrington summed KWP up perfectly "he plays with a chuckle in his boots"

I console myself with the fact that if Bristol City can make the play offs then it can't be that hard and even after this season we should be in the running. One thing I am certain of is that we will lose at Wrexham, Bristol City, Preston and Norwich and will draw 1-1 at Watford.
-
Surely its just N/A

Josh Windass would be a good shout for the level we will be at. Maybe bring back Valery?
-
Everton fans are prone to invading the pitch. I expect they will do that when they score their late winning goal and the game won't actually finish. Good thing about the post-game ceremony is that only Saints fans will be leaving, so the traffic getting away will be easy.

yes. If the focus is on building for the feature it is nonsense to appoint someone who will walk out as soon as the next better offer comes along

It is not very nice that the season ticket discount no longer applies to shirts, the one thing that most people would use it for
