  1. That winning team was I believe Windsor FC. This still is from a previous round that was filmed at our away game at Ipswich. I actually saw the film at the Savoy cinema in Nottingham
  2. With the 79 League Cup we played two major finals in that specific kit and the 2003 FA Cup Final kit was a tribute to it. But decisions that supporters would make without hesitation are not creative enough for marketing people. No let's replicate a kit no one liked the first time round. I am worried that the next home design will be based on the Steve Zodiac abomination from our centenary season of 85/86.
  3. I thought the penalty was soft. And the players seemed a bit surprised when the ref pointed to the spot. I think he was making up for missing a nailed on penalty a few minutes earlier.
  4. Referee was very poor. Failed to add 6/7 minutes on to the first half for the medical emergency - it looked like he was using the stadium clock for timing.
  5. 1971 - Pilgrimage by Wishbone Ash followed by Bolan Boogie
  6. KWP is much better than that
  7. Was a new contract necessary - was there any danger of someone taking him off us? Apart from Rangers
  8. In the late 60s Terry Paine owned a fruit and veg shop down by Foys Corner. We lived in Thornbury Avenue so my mum would often send me down there for a few pounds of potatoes and he served me a number of times.
  9. It is rather amusing that they show it in front of a team photo from 1976 showing how the design was executed far better then
  10. It was Steve Williams as well. Ossie never played for us again. Had he stayed he could still have done a job in the first division
  11. The word locally is that Brooks failed the medical
  12. Doucore is exactly what we need in midfield. Surprised Everton have let him go. We should also sign Shelvey so he cant play against us
  13. I guess we are on Sunderland's preferred buyers list
  14. Can I add to the mix Paul Jones. Brought in by his mate David Jones and displaced Maik Taylor, a fine player who could easily have been our keeper for the next decade. Jones was absolutely brilliant for half a season and then became complete rubbish.
  15. What is there to hate about Clarke? Hat trick on his debut and 36 goals in 82 games. How I would love a forward who could do that for us in the top division now.
  16. Kenilworth station which opened in 2018 cost £12 million. That is a bog standard station with one platform serving a single track line, probably not unlike what would be needed at St Marys, so the cost would be similar.
  17. A factor might be in how he has been treated along the way and played frequently on the left. The way he was dropped for the new best thing Livramento was disgusting
  18. If KWP goes to the right club there is still an outside chance of him going to the World Cup
  19. I live not far from Coventry. And bizarrely they actively discourage people from using the Arena station on matchdays as they don't think it has the capacity to cope. So one asset that would be really useful they don't use. And last time we played there in the evening I had got my ticket in advance and they cancelled the train at the last moment
  20. And his first goal was at home against Villa, not Notts County
  21. Saints will have a points deduction before Leicester
  22. Mark Hughes. Totally arrogant. Too lazy to play as a striker and dropped into midfield where it was above him to track back. Wasted chance after chance trying to score worldies when an easy goal was on if he passed.
  23. Maybe we should restrict it to players who were on loan and then didn't sign permanently? One that is often overlooked is Justin Fashanu - scored 3 goals in 9 games. And I believe he was our first loan player to score for us. Real shame he didn't sign permanently. Maybe his life would have worked out better in the more stable environment of Saints.
  24. I believe it was down to the condition of the ground in that area in terms of what weight it could bear.
  25. That is a reasonable point of view. But it didn't apply to Spurs who just dumped an extra 20,000 or more on to the existing traffic infrastructure, resulting in absolute chaos in trying to get away after a game.
