  1. Yet he had players suited to his system like Downes and Smallbone.
  2. Turn Staplewood into a boarding school and fire balls at them from dawn to dusk until they learn to instinctively finish
  3. Nathan Jones tried to warn us… “I’ve compromised certain principles because of, one; personnel, but, two; the way people want to play and so on, because of fans and so on… [but] I’m not going to do that again.”
  4. Nothing today then.
  5. I was going to joke that this match could be a canary in the coal mine for our season, but we’ve started so shakily it’ll just be a parrot of our previous performances.

    Tyler Dibling

Good luck. Will be good for him.
  7. Thank you for your insight. I always appreciate it
  8. Good, doesn’t seem like he’s anywhere near being on the pitch for us at the moment.
  9. I don’t know too much about Azaz technically. But what I’ve heard is that he frequently goes missing in big games according to Boro fans. Tidy player, but is it good to have more players that roll over when it gets tough?
  10. I think something has had to give for a while and now it’s finally giving. We have had arguably the worst on-field season ever and SR are just going about business as usual.
  11. Irrespective of our league next season, I fear Ramsdale goes and Bazunu extends
  12. Masterclass from Spors. As a Norwich player, Long will be able to tell us exactly how they will set up tomorrow, allowing us to breeze through to the prestigious third round of the EFL Cup. Up the fucking Saints!
  13. The circumstances are different. Lambert was symbolic of a club beaten down by financial problems getting back on its feet and hungering to get back what it once was. Nowadays the club is on a sustained decline, getting just that little bit worse every year, we have money but no ambition to challenge. I think a number of prospective hires can see it from a mile off.
  14. I presume the recruitment team have rewarded themselves with a day off since it's a Bank Holiday?
  15. New ways? Not sure about that, it's the old ways which bring us to new lows.
  16. FA not happy about this banner at Selhurst Park...
  17. "Still" too early for me, but if we line up against Norwich and Watford in the same way we have in the last four he will begin to lose a lot of credit. I really want him to do well but it's time to try something new.
  18. I was thinking of a different Let It Go. "Smallbone never bothered me anyway".
  19. Celtic at home next. Could be judgement day for him.

I struggle to get up in arms about Trump the same way that many do. I just find his behaviour to be so absurd that it wraps around to being somewhat funny.
  21. Here's our Onuachu replacement. Get it done Spors
  22. with one of them being played as LB in place of Welington.
  23. Fuck it, why not.
  24. I don't see it happening really, I have a very bad feeling about the conclusion of this window.
  25. This may come across as hysterical, but I think our reputation is seriously damaged. Players that would improve us do not want to come and use us as a bargaining chip for a better transfer. Our decent players don't want to extend, only dross do because they know we're their best pay day for the remaining years of their career. The academy feels more gutted than ever before with talent being poached well before it can bloom - Robinson being the only star we have had from it. (I discount Dibling as he could have easily chose to remain at Chelsea and it was unusual for him to return.) Managers do the same, Will Still is probably the first decently regarded manager since Hassenhuttl. Something will give eventually, and we will have to spend years kicking around the championship or worse whilst we change hands at executive level. I think that may begin soon.
