  1. Unfortunately we all know that we are never going to get more than 2-3 games out of RS before another injury. He’ll play 12 games maximum this season. Not his fault of course but surely one of the most idiotic signings in our history. Who sanctioned it?
  2. 6 draws last night out of 8 Championship games. No one is running away with it this year.
  3. I actually think Sheffield Utd were half decent and are in a very false position in the table. O’Hare and Hamer are quality so that’s a very strong away win. On the Quarshie debate, don’t change a winning formula. Same starting 11 with impact subs ready to come on.
  4. Still very emotional at full time. Like it.
  5. Charlton can’t believe we let him go.
  6. Before the pen I was about to type that I just can’t see this group having the fight to come back and win this. I held off. Now I feel it more than ever. Hope I’m very wrong.
  7. The players at his disposal are the two top assisters in the Championship from last season and others who have scored 20+ a season at this level. No reason this squad shouldn’t be competing for promotion.
  8. After only seven games it’s a brave call to say we aren’t getting promoted this season. Put 4 wins together in this division and you’re right in contention and we have the players with the ability to do just that.
  9. Stewart looked like peak Rickie Lambert today in comparison with Downs in midweek.
  10. I’m sure others may have mentioned this but for me the game changed on one self-inflicted substitution. Boro were bricking themselves every time Fellows was on the ball so (unless injured) why replace him? Why did Adam Blackmore not ask Still about this as we lost the win in that moment?
  11. It does appear that Still is searching for a clear identity/plan and the players are therefore unsure of their jobs. Looking on the bright side, Azaz and Fellows were two of the leading assist creators in the league last season. Charles was in the Champ team of the season. Downes (F), Archer, Fraser, Armstrong and THB are all proven at the top end of this division so he has the tools at his disposal...but we have to remain patient.
  12. Being exceedingly optimistic, having a terrible spell at the start of the season means we have to doing something dramatic to rectify it, either on or off the pitch. The Championship, especially this season, is going to be incredibly open with no teams running away with it à la Leicester and Ipswich. Everyone will have a bad spell and ours is very much now.
  13. The autos are out of reach already? We’re six games into the season and unlike the Prem, all clubs currently in the top 6 will have a bad spell. Four wins on the bounce in this league and you’re in contention again.
  14. No self-respecting club replaces a new manager after only six games, especially a kid who’s so new to the game. You might have thought we’d have learnt our lesson about the good that comes from chopping and changing managers. He needs to change the mentality and results pretty quickly though so let’s see what he’s made of.
