  1. Young and quality, both signs that we're building for the future as well as the present. Statement of intent!
  2. Sven's never had a problem spending other people's money. If he was lured to Pompey in the Storrie-Era, we'd be looking at £500m debts!

  4. Because it had a few bad games and got booed, and instead of taking it like a man and improving his performance, he sulked like a little girl and and made it clear he wanted to get out at the first opportunity. As the excellent League 1 Minus 10 blog put it in the season round-up: http://leagueoneminus10.blogspot.com/ JASON PUNCHEON started the season on the right wing and was simply dreadful. Looked unfit and looked like he didn’t care. He missed open goal after open goal and then got annoyed when the crowd got fed up with it. Virtually the first act when Nigel Adkins came into the building (oh yes) was to set Jason some KPIs and these were “shoot in the general direction of the ****ing goal occasionally” and “stop being a sulky ****”. Having failed on both scores, he was dropped in favour of an only-just-17 year old and he threw his toys out and got loaned out to Millwall where bizarrely, he banged in a few goals. A brief return to us followed which included a decent game in the FA Cup v Blackpool who then signed him for the remainder of their Premier League campaign where he has again done ok. Technically still our player but we won’t see him back here as long as he has a hole in his ass. Not happy with being a squad player and in all likelihood, a dissenting voice to Nigel’s plan of squad unity so bye.... and rightly so. It would be the best outcome all round if we got rid of him and anything over £400k would represent good business for the club.
  5. Yep thats the point I was trying to make. The destination of the player determines the level, and I think there isn't a player of Championship-level ability worth £5m.
  6. We already have enough for the first XI plus a full subs bench. Something you fishy fiddlers couldn't do on numerous occasions last year. He'll be there for the pay check and the football creditor status when you mugs implode again. Anyway in other (sort of related) news, Plymouth are trying hard to reduce their outgoings because of Administration. Now, I wonder who else on the South Coast should have done that.....? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2012146/PFA-slams-Plymouth-attempts-sack-players.html
  7. Looks like Mikey Wilds school of Chairmanship is in place at LC....Throw money at the gamble of going up.
  8. £5m for an NPC player? Who on earth would think thats good business (apart from the selling club)?
  9. Spot the odd one out this morning.....
  10. But some of those are off, or will never see the first team.
  11. Even if we signed nobody, I'll be happy.
  12. And Comical Andy. Remeber how he magically found £millions of debt stuffed down Storrie's sofa when it came to marginalising HMRC's percentage of the vote on the CVA itself.....
  13. I doubt it, the goals are the same size and he can't hit them in training
  14. Praise the lord, Pompey are saved! http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=424&fid=203&sty=2&act=1&mid=2117047233

  16. They are common up here in the Midlands. Its the tight Southerners.....ooooh aaaahhh....
  17. Fill your car up with £40.02 of fuel, sometimes the counter has a jar/tray that people put their spare change in (like if they filled up to £24.98, 2p change goes in the tray). Not funded by the station but other motorists. I chip in when I can but I'm pretty good at hitting round numbers.
  18. Don't forget the Skates match. We have a great squad already, only need a few additions to make it a playoff/promotion side.
  19. Nor do they at Saab, Spyker, or any other business they are ''involved'' with, it seems.
  20. 5 years ago, when Liverpool were spending ridiculous money on spectacular failiures (see an example from squad list below). No indication he'd be on anything like that now. 1. Jerzy Dudek 2. Jan Kromkamp 3. Steve Finnan 7. Harry Kewell 9. Djibril Cisse 10. Luis Garcia 11. Robbie Fowler 19. Fernando Morientes 20. Scott Carson 21. Djimi Traore 30. Boudewijn Zenden
  21. Surprise surprise.
  22. People said that when Jaidi was rumoured to be signed.
  23. Pointless thread in the first place, and this one is just as pointless.
  24. Just pulling my post from page 794. There's life in this old nag of a thread yet. And funny how those calling for it to be closed are strangely absent from the previous 800+ pages of Skate comedy gold.
  25. I had a Marui Galaxy recently to restore for a friend.....non-existant parts supply these days, very valuable cars!
