Sky royally ****ed me off when they put their prices up, so I cancelled with them. I phoned up Virgin and explained what had happened. The nice chap on the phone spent about 20 minutes 'bigging' virgin media up. I said 'great, let's go for it'. I gave him my postcode and he said I don't live in a cable area I'm using freeview at the moment and the channels I can pick up are an absolute joke. There must be about 20 that I can pick up at work and can't get at home.

My 11 year old sister enjoys watching me play GTA 4 and Gears of War. It's great as I only have to look after her occasionally so my mum has to deal with all the swearing, shooting people, stealing cars and cutting people in half with a chainsaw.

I'm no expert - but I think some games don't work on 64bit OS. I'm quite a gamer myself and use 32bit with no problems. I'm sure even games that do support it don't benefit from it. Certainly not much anyway. I wouldn't fuss about with it - go with what most people have got. Get 32bit! If there was a massive advantage more people would have it. If you used programs that actually used that 4GB of RAM of course it would be different.

Ask it to download them, but not install without asking you.

I've worked on a few 64bit OS's with 16GB of RAM and seen very little difference in general operation so it depends on what your main uses are for your system.

Nah I'm heading for a career change so I decided I wouldn't have enough time for my 'duties'. Now it's quietened down a bit on here there isn't the need for a big admin team like there once was either. That and of course the death threats were getting a bit tiresome.
