yeah, i was thinking the exact same instance re. Adkins when i wrote the original reply. It is clear, that especially with lesser clubs, we probably try and unsettle players in the same was as what is done to us. However, us unsettling a (trying to think of a young English player we have bought from the lower leagues recently, struggling....) Jack Stephens (going back a way bit for this example) type is not as media worthy as Liverpool unsettling VVD.

If you believe that we and all other clubs do not do exactly the same thing to smaller clubs then you are very naive.

Thats an unbelievable post, it really is. FF is probably one of the worst keeper technically that has played for us. He has the odd good game like Arsenal, good shot stopper people will say, all goalies are good shot stoppers, that's their job! The difference is when they come out and dominate their area and their defence etc. Their positioning as well. Pits no comincidence that the loss of VVD exposed Forster last season, which would suggest how well he has been protected over the last couple of seasons. Frankly uts it's an amazing decision by the club. God, if he was any good we would have sold him by now.

seriously? A top class Aaron Lennon over what we have seen of Redmond so far, no comparison, you'd take Lennon all day long. Never the greatest player granted but was much better than what we have seen so far. Might change in the future, not holding my breath on that though.
