Europa League Verdict (How was it for you love?)
Noodles34 replied to Golac's Iron Gonads's topic in The Saints
It's gutting that we are not going any further but: what a trip really. We played at The San Siro, some of us fathers took our kids to watch Saints play Inter Milan at The San Siro. And then we cam e from behind to beat them at home, what a night that was. some of you went to Israel, one of the lost historic countries on the planet, you might never have gone without that game. and what a great few days in Prague. it was a great opportunity to see games in places that a few years ago were unimaginable whilst we watched the skates play Milan at that **** hole. Shame about the football but good times waiting, planning and executing some great trips. -
cheers, i might have been early!

it is an 8pm KO isnt it?
-
Classy of us to appreciate the winners though. They deserved the applause.
-
Dont you think they have a right to? Going there and doing it is one thing, but if (and its a big if tbf) they are really pro Palestine etc. then why not? I dont think having political views different to yours makes them dic*heads.

Becasue the players want to leave and clubs are not strong enough to keep them their contracts. Sometimes we say to a player, one more year and you can go, sometimes we don't. Whilst I understand what you are saying, it's all a bit too simplistic and you know it.

get what mate?

Cortese was doing what was asked of him, 5 year plan and all that, box ticked. In the end she thought he was too expensive and spending all of her daddy’s money, so she called it in. She is clearly on of a different business plan to Cortese’s, if we had carried on with him then we probably would be in the Champions League but we have paid good money for it. She is happy to build it on a sound footing and then sell it and if it goes to these Chinese people, you would have to wonder if she was really that bothered after all.

it is about making money whilst trying to be competitive. It will not be a case of if, but when and that will come down to when VVD says he wants to go. I really don't know what people expect? All of these players want to play for bigger clubs, what are we supposed to do about that? Become a bigger club, then we have to keep hold of the players who want to leave to a bigger club, its a self propitiating circle of doom. The club are quite clear on their strategy, compete in the top half of the table but make money. until we get new owners etc. this will not change, it is i guess better than watching Dagenham & Redbridge in L1 on a Tuesday night. I think under Cortese it would have been a completely different strategy but clearly it was not his money and Kat called it in.

Exactly. Anyone remember Morgans first season?

No way Austin will start against Prague. Shane Long all day long. Think we will be going for a draw.

That advantage decision from Clattenberg was disgraceful, how he had the audacity to do that God only knows. Interesting stat on MOTD, first time since 2004 we have failed to register a **** on target, presuming they mean the Premier League. Just strange to see how we were the team taking our time for throw ins and free kicks etc.
-
First game at SMS that I have seen us play for a draw. Whilst we played very well defensively we set up like an away team. Thought we could have taken the game to them a bit more positively
-
I believe its cheaper to exchange over there.
-
Or poor or poor memory from me.
-
Not sure about the accuracy as usual. Luke Shaw had not played in the first team before that opening city game and its was Ward Prowse's debut wasn't it? Poor research.
-
Though we might b eone of the best thrid place teams
-
If you're talking about The Premier League then if you really think we are one of the worst three teams then you need to seriously consider watching The Premiership mate.
-
Whats the Premiership?
-
thanks for that link, now i have to go and delete by history!!
-
pretty sure he made a very good save against Burnley
-
you cannot blame the manager for yesterday, the players were at fault. I dont think Puel coaches the 'take it easy, we can win this at walking pace' atitude.
-
Yes, the one positive at The SS was the fact that we should murder them at home.

He's looking for another stone lion to take on his boat.
