  1. The best thing about MP is the fact that he promotes British players, in fact he has been instrumental in providing England (and U21) with their players, Rodrigues, lambert, Lallana, Clyne, Chambers, Shaw, JWP, Kane, Ale, Dier, Mason, Walker, Rose. Clearly they haven't all played at the same time and perhaps one or two of them were in the frame before him, but its pretty good. He also isn't afraid to trust the young kids, he believes in them (and that makes them believe in themselves) which is the one criticism that you could label at RK (as well as most of the other PL managers). And his style of football is very good and very effective. He has proved it with us and proved it even more at Spurs.
  2. what happens if Liverpool win the EP and Utd win the cup, assuming Liverpool finish above us, say 7th and we finish 8th, do we qualify then?
  3. RK doesn't give a hoot about young players, as great as a job he has done, unfortunately MP is miles ahead in terms of building a club and philosophy.
  4. do you really think the manager tells players to punch other players? Id have him back over RK anyday, he' the best manager since the early days of Mouriniho.
  5. Dont flatter yourself fella, there are plenty of other p ricks i respond to as well
  6. I like that word you use, tedious. It's quite apt.
  7. think you're taking things too seriously mate. I mean, yes its a bit 'line the pockets' event, but then what isn't? Its a show, been to the anniversary one and the MLT one too, they were okay. I only paid 20 quid for tickets at the back of the upper balcony, think 40 was a bit much. If you're that embarrassed about celebrating pretty much the only proper thing this club has won (and it really mattered back then) then perhaps you shouldn't go.
  8. Jesus, words fail me.
  9. Liverpool, you have to be joking, right? You might as well added Man Utd then and Arsenal then!
  10. Agreed, dreadful and a liability on Sunday.
  11. Anyone not comfortable with the "always the victims...." Song, unpleasant with an obvious reference. Don't think we need to stoop that low.
  12. He seemed more upbeat in his Solent interview after the game but it was a strange reaction, maybe he was in shock that he actually, finally played well.
  13. Its a fine line between a player that undoubtedly gives his all in the pitch but actually not being effective. Whilst I think we did overpay for him (from a business point of view) he has stepped up during mid season and won us games whilst Pelle, Tadic and Mane have gone missing. Like many say, he better to have with you than against you.
  14. I think the linesman on the Itchen side in the second half was terrible but look at the state of him! He's old and fat, they really should be younger and fitter, I wonder how much effort is spent on developing younger officials?
  15. OK, semi-literate? see above, 'likely hood', you really need to spell check. You rambles? well, oh dear, you've done yourself no favours here.
  16. Ian Branfoot maybe, unfinished business.
  17. usual response then.
  18. I wondered how long it would take the third stooge (or bellend ) to turn up, right on cue as usual
  19. Oh dear, how long did it take to come up with this? Usual poor debating skills from the usual suspects, resorting to abuse and ridicule when they are unable to face the facts that someone has a different opinion, or insults their God, you couldn't make it up
  20. lol, the usual response from people that can't decipher a proper response I'm an idiot because I question the number one troll on here and his real agenda? I'm an idiot because I think we paid too much for Shane Long? or, I'm an idiot because I don't fall for this 'taking the club forward to the top four/Europe...' bull****? But you just call me an idiot, I guess that's as many words as you can manage.
  21. Why don't you offer one mate, instead of continually berating other peoples' opinions, you are so boringly predictable with your 'look what you said earlier' drivel. Shane Long for 12 million, do me a favour, Hull bought him for 6 twelve months earlier and we doubled that on the back of 8 goals. I like Shane Long, a lot, at the very least he is the most committed player we have and when I watched ****ing Mane stroll about when he came on yesterday, not chasing any balls down etc. it made Shane Long look even better. But from a business point of view, Hull must have come in their pants when Les Reed said, "we'll give you 12 million". heres an opinion, this Les Reed that you rate so highly, how about he keeps players when they prove to be good. How about he manages to convince the likes of Lovren, Lallana, Chambers, Shaw, Snederlein, Clyne, Lambert..... To actually stay and buy into the ambition of this club. But no, they all want to get off at the first opportunity and it will be the same this summer again, because they see what our ambition is, mid table mediocrity, even RK has alluded to it. So sorry for not buying into your great Les Reed, frankly I'm unsure if what he actually offers? It's all very well buying players and they work out but how about keeping them?
  22. Is your next thread going to be about our L1 goalkeeper? You are 'retrospect' of the highest order but got to love the way (and give you credit) people don't see you for what you really are. I think other posters should be a little careful on this thread, otherwise some quote you might have randomly made may be used against you.
  23. Think I was in the Toby camp but after today, wow, how good was VVD! The goal aside, which the striker did well to be fair, he dealt with everything and it really looked like 'everything'!
