I guess they work out how many tickets they have and how to shift the most in just a few days. No point in having 2500 and then setting the bar at 25 always which only 500 qualify for. I got 21 so thats me sorted.

Very glad to be going back then. As you say, pay, stand and be entertained. The 4_1 at QPR was a great day, passed my driving test in the morning, got steamed in London and knocked out (by a mate) late that night back in Eastleigh. Happy days. Not the same by any stretch these days. if we’d won our last two games in north London we’d have finished third. I’ll put in a shout for Brett Omerod, went under the JB radar but so pivotal that 2003 season.

I played golf with Matt the other day and we talked about that hat trick. He’s surprised it isn’t talked about more. That lob for the third (I think) was world class.

The point is that the tyre blew, at 70mph then that could have been fatal anyway. The speed doesn’t help but the tyre blew which caused the crash. Bad timing rather than speed.

I’d imagine we have all sped and whilst it’s an accelerated risk (excuse the pun) you can die at 30mph in a crash. I don’t think it makes it less of a tragedy at all. And as for Liverpool fans milking it, I don’t think so. Whilst I don’t have much time for the club as whole, when I’m in Liverpool speaking with their real fans, I personally think they are sound. The social media stuff can come from anywhere frankly, it doesn’t necessarily represent the common people.
