Looking for positives, which is difficult when so many players are leaving, I am pleased that we seem to be doing a lot of player selling with a few weeks of the window left, i.e. leaving time to get replacements in before the season starts. The next few weeks will be a big test of the new SR setup and their resolve to return to the Premiership. Some of the areas that are now looking weak and where we need to strengthen are the goalkeeper, creative midfielder(s) and winger(s) (who can beat a man and can cross the ball).

Spertsyan looks exactly like what we need as a creative midfielder in videos, and from his stats in a decent league. My only concern would be his commitment to coming to the 2nd league in England when he has been linked with much higher profile clubs than us in the past and has apparently, rejected us just a few weeks ago.

Some posts make you wonder whether the poster has ever watched Saints play. Time and time again, Bazunu would let in goals that you would expect him to save. His positioning was poor, his hands weak, he didn't command his area and for someone whose alleged special talent was with the ball at his feet, well he wasn't especially good at that either. And to suggest, the minor errors that he was pilloried for were the same as the errors Ramsdale made but not criticised for. Well, you must be smoking something very strong.

I think your interpretation is generous. To my mind this is just another in the long list of Stephen's howlers.

The first goal was Jack's fault. The ball didn't bounce off his heel, his foot moves towards the ball. What he was attempting only Jack will know.
