  1. For context, we conceded 2 at home to Stoke reserves and only a goal line clearance stopped a third.
  2. Originally, people said that but there were plenty of critics of Woods after his first few outings for Saints.
  3. I would like THB to be given a chance as captain.
  4. Of course, in any normal situation you would be right. However, as things are we are going to be relegated, and Dibling will leave, so we don't have the opportunity to see him mature gradually. So, as we are in the last chance saloon I think we should try anything. Rather than thinking that we base the whole team around him, I see it more as, get the ball to Dibling as much as possible. (when the pass is on). I would like to see the new manager tighten us up defensively (much fewer silly mistakes) and use the pace and guile of Dibling & Fernandez to get the ball as quickly as possible to Archer (and possibly Onuachu) on breakaways. We have already seen several times in the past few matches that we are capable of this.
  5. Ivan Juric and the blockheads?
  6. That is a pointless and unanswerable question. The point is that the chances of Saints surviving in the PL were much higher and the job therefore more attractive to a wider pool of managers. We would also have had international breaks coming up. Finally a new manager would have been in place well before the January transfer window enabling them to assess the areas of the team that most required strengthening. The fact that SR have allowed this shitshow to dribble on for more than another couple of months is an act of pure negligence. To then not even have a clearly identified target is incompetence.
  7. Robin Williams said it best "You know you are in more dire need of a blowjob than any ... man in history"
  8. Are you unwell?

  15. That is on RM always wanting to recycle possession until the perfect opportunity arises. The other problem under RM is that there was little point crossing the ball as the build up was so laborious that there would be 8 defenders in the box defending Cameron Archer. The question then becomes why recruit a player with skills that don't fit the style of play?
  16. More like Forrest Gump
  17. Avoid a red card?
  18. I would have liked to see Onuachu and Archer on together
  19. He has showed great potential in a poor side that doesn't play to his attributes. He has never looked shit in my opinion
  20. You haven't thought this through. Who will we sing about?
  21. I think we have decided to focus on the league campaign
  22. Russell Martin’s Southampton philosophy was a self-defeating brand of stupidity https://apple.news/ADKj8AtuNSDyXACWHipGzoA
  23. I agree Toussaint, I thought his natural role was as a strong, athletic, primarily defensive midfielder. I thought his confidence dipped when he was asked to play a different role I.e. ball retention which was not his natural strength. I think his defensive skills would have suited the PL better than the Championship, ironically. He certainly would have been a better opinion than Big Les who has done nothing after a few early cameos.
  24. I agree, he was sacked at Birmingham when they were doing well as they wanted to bring in Rooney (did SR advise them)?
