Fellows needs shooting...... Practice

I think you need some lessons in Statistics, old fruit. As the quote goes "Some individuals use statistics as a drunk man uses lamp-posts — for support rather than for illumination."
-
My original comment was that "I seem to remember the run came to an end when Captain Shoehorn became available". Your counter-evidence was that he was on the bench for the match when the run came to an end. So, you actually proved my point despite mis-quoting me.
-
So 2 games are enough for you to write off trying out 2 CBs? That's silly, and not how stats work We also kept a clean sheet against Portsmouth. So you could claim that 50% of our matches with 2 CBs were clean sheets.
-
You have just ignored the general point I was making by taking a sample if 1 match. Are you hard of thinking?
-
Please provide the stats to support that.
-
You know the point I was making. We had the best run of results in recent history playing 2 CBs. We brought Stephens back into the fold and started to play 3 CBs at the back and the results were much poorer. 3 CBs has never really worked for Saints.

When we had our long unbeaten run in the Champ under RM, wasn't it achieved with 2 CBs .. THB and Bednarek? I seem to remember the run came to an end when Captain Shoehorn became available

Nice to still see the 3 CB lineup that has defended so well all season ..
-
We hate back 3 and we hate back 3, We hate back 3, and we hate back 3. We hate back 3 and we hate back 3. We are the back 3 haters.

With everyone doing the robot dance while this is sung

Or 4 centre backs?

Anyone who couldn't attend today was lucky. One of the worst matches of football I have ever had the misfortune to watch. My son-in-law and I groaned when they announced at full time that we had to endure another 7 minutes.

Unbeaten this year ...

Some people use statistics like a drunk man uses a lampost, for support rather than enlightenment..

I don't think last nights substitutuons were examples of technical magement wizardry. To me it was desperate substitution bingo at the end. The substitutions were like for like, there was no magical change in formation. Archer has come on on numerous occasions and offered nothing (as he did before and after scoring last night). As soon as we got the equaliser, we went back to boilerplate, crab football which Birmingham were very comfortable defending. The goal put an unmerited varnish on another awful performance, the like of which we have seen again and again this season. We had hoped Tonda had broken this tactical monotony but that didn't last long. One point away to Norwich, Oxford and Birmingham is a dreadful return with no excuses.

The one common factor uniting the management choice under SR is that they were relatively unknown and all with either no experience at a higher level and/or no management experience in this country. Two of them given their first management job. Almost as though the football strategy was more important than the manager. With Martin, the two (strategy and manager) coincided. A strongwilled manager, respected at the level we are appointing for does not seem to be a recruitment factor

Why?

I think we can all safely assume by now that Bazunu doesn't seem to learn anything. He just needs to be replaced by a better keeper.
-
He did it against Birmingham at St Marys as well. Listless in the next few matches. He's ex Villa
-
Classic Partridge from Blackmore there... Great work from the 2 Germans there. Well, technically Scienza is Brazilian

Jelert has made a big difference

The goal came from a midfielder playing a forward pass, finally ..

It's substitute bingo time
