So, what are you suggesting. Accepting our fate with a shrug of the shoulders? I look at it this way, the best opportunity that we have of returning to the PL is this season (and next). As regards PSR, we have more money from sales this season than we will have in the following seasons, if we stay in the Championship. The only way we are going to go up is by improving the quality of the current starting 11, especially offensively. So, if we don't improve that with quality players like Sargent, we are not going up and quality players cost money, so we have to spend it. The alternative is a gradual atrophy of the team.

Saints spent €25m on Sullemana and €18million on Onuachu. That makes £25million for Sargent seem extremely sane, especially if his goals takes us back to the PL.
-
Striker wise, Josh Sargent is better than anything we've got and the type of target man we've lacked since Adams left.

pre-tax loss of £87 million for the 2022-23 financial year?

Benefits like two relegations and others so huge that Solak has had to effectively sack the management team and start from scratch with Spors?

Are you MLG in disguise ....

I think we need a good number 9

While watching the Football League highlights from yesterday's matches, I noticed that of the Championship attacking players that we have been linked with; Azaz scored, Rudoni scored, Sargeant scored. Which one will we sign ? .............. Alfonso Nobodini from the French / German nether regions. Sorry, feeling very frustrated today by SRs pitiful purchasing record.

Fraser did not have to fill in at RB. We had a PL right back on the bench.

Ironically, for a start, Wood looked far too slow. I would have kept faith with Quarshie and, with his pace, kept him as the last man when we were pressing and Stoke were down to 10. Instead of Stephens, who has little pace. I would also have started a PL right back, Roerslev, as right back and had a right winger, Fraser, playing on the right wing. I know, who'd have thunk. I would not start Armstrong as a down-the-middle CF when he has proved time and time again, that he can't play there. So, I would have started with Stewart as CF. As we now have a proper CF, I would have played Manning as left full back so that with | Fraser on the right, we have crosses and a threat coming in from both wings.

What at?

We should expect not to see him playing down the middle against defenders a foot taller than him.

Except we haven't kept one clean sheet

If Fernandes is leaving (I think he will) I hope he gets to go to a better side than West Ham seem to be at the moment. He gave everything last season in a hopeless side destined for relegation. I wish him well and hope he gets his next opportunity in a decent, competitive side.

In his post match podcast with Adam Blackmore, Jo Tessem acknowledged that he struggled against Ipswich but thought that at his age it is best to keep playing and, hopefully, learning from your mistakes. He said that being dropped/rested can dent your confidence.

Did he turn you down?

I think we all knew that. It doesn't explain your bitter reaction

I'm not sure what type of football he would be right for?
