I think we can all safely assume by now that Bazunu doesn't seem to learn anything. He just needs to be replaced by a better keeper.
-
He did it against Birmingham at St Marys as well. Listless in the next few matches. He's ex Villa
-
Classic Partridge from Blackmore there... Great work from the 2 Germans there. Well, technically Scienza is Brazilian
-
Jelert has made a big difference
-
The goal came from a midfielder playing a forward pass, finally ..
-
It's substitute bingo time

How many headers did we miss in a row FFS
-
He's bound to score now
-
... Are his better qualities

They've just looked at the stats

Sorry, that was technically incorrect our shape looks wrong everywhere
-
Our shape looks wrong on the left hand side

His delivery was not an issue until the obsession with meaningless passing amongst a back 6.
-
Not if he isn't asked to pass the ball along the backline. His delivery was not an issue until the obsession with meaningless passing amongst a back 6.
-
I could understand if he was unavailable but he's on the bench where Bazunu should be.
-
He is a better shot stopper and much better at coming for balls into the box
-
And an awful defender, always out of position and never closes the winger down to prevent a cross. His attacking ability does not compensate for this in my opinion, especially as we have Scienza on the wing now, we just need a solid left back behind him.

I'd like to see it more often
-
I'd probably pick the same players and therein lies a big part of the problem. Not a single one of those is a defender, goalkeeper or defensive midfielder. No wonder our defence is woeful
-
Who costs £15 million, looks like he doesn't care and isn't a very good striker?
-
Well, we did only have 3 centre backs on the pitch
-
I'm with Saint Clark on this. Bazunu's kicking is not as brilliant as we were led to believe. For a bit of light relief, a few of us at Saint Mary's have started saying "he's only there for his kicking" after he launches another ball out of touch or straight down the middle to the centre back stood marking Arma. We've surprised ourselves how often it gets said. I'd be happier with a goalkeeper who is not just a good shot stopper but is also good with balls crossed into the box, especially as clubs know this is a weak point for us.

If I had to define ultimate optimism, it would be this ...
-
We also could have taken one of the 3 centre backs off.

Russell Martin mode plus Jander, Fellows and Scienza.
