How do we know that was our main target?
-
Why is Mccarthy not PL standard in your opinion?
-
Sorry, but Ox WAS a proven PL standard player. These are the stats taken from the PL web site. That is 39 games in the past 4 seasons and 4 goals in that time. Superb player but, unfortunately, has been plagued with injuries.

Are we sure he is Brazilian? He doesn't seem to possess any of the skills that you normally associate with a Brazilian. Mind you neither did Lyanco 😂
-
Err, he comfortably will be. Whenever I saw him, I thought that a village somewhere was missing its idiot.

If it couldn't get any worse in politics .......... Rupert Lowe wins Great Yarmouth seat for Reform UK | Great Yarmouth Mercury
-
Has that been confirmed?
-
Csn we sack Southgate before the next match 😉
-
Couldn't agree more 👍
-
He certainly looked quality last season. 12 goals and 6 assists from 32 matches is a good return and only 22 years old

Great reminder Milton

Great post Harv. I think one of the main factors in our promotion has been the team spirit that RM has managed to foster. No small feat after the previous seasons debacle. Retaining that cohesion will be key to our survival next season.

Wow, Not a low scruffy shot in sight. You obviously have a selective memory. Nobody is claiming that he is the next Sergio Aguerro, but for a zero fee to get a striker at his peak, who we know how exactly to use to get the best out of him, pretty attractive option I would think. Similarly, nobody is suggesting that we still dont need a more prolific PL striker, but they dont come cheap.. And iur record in selecting great strikers, in the recent past, is not great
-
Sorry, wrong wording .. interested in getting him then. We wouldn’t need a fee either, of course.
-
Clearly other premiership teams having seen him play n the PL do want to buy him and wouldn't do it if they didnt think he could perform in the PL.

As other have said, Che was our best option as a target man last season, his general hold up play and ability to bring other players into the game is very good. He also scored 16 goals in 41 matches, far from a “woeful” return. To say that the only goals he can score are close grange scuffs and bundle ins is almost the opposite of the truth which is that he misses the easy ones and often converts the more difficult chances … a scorer of great goals rather than a great scorer of goals. I’m not sure that I’d like him as our starting number 9 week in week out in the PL, but as a squad player for a zero transfer fee, yes, all day long.

I think CWD was including the playoffs as part of the season, and we therefore did improve; his point was that McCarthy replacing Bazunu played a major part in that turnaround. He is clearly a better shot stopper than Bazunu and commanded his area better. The defence as a whole seemed more cohesive and this seemed , at least in part, due to the confidence that the defence had in the keeper behind them. Many others have made the point that they felt as though we wouldn't have won through the playoffs with Bazunu in goal, me included.

I just Googled him, I know every target looks like a world beater on YouTube but he does look impressive
-
Very underrated striker in my opinion.
-
It’s a valid question, The premiership is more demanding and he missed 13 matches last season. I think he’s got the stamina but he does seem to have an injury problem or two.
-
Would be huge if we can pull this off
-
I totally agree, provided that he is fit. He's had a few injury issues.

Looks like 2 mutated Ryan Mannings
