Yes. Ramsdale saved us.
-
In theory I guess but as there were 5 minutes left and Everton had to score they were never gong to hold defenders back for a 6'7" striker. A fast paced striker would make more sense. Onuachu is the type of player you bring on when you are 1-0 down with minutes left.

Why on earth did RM bring Tall Paul on in injury time when we were one nil up?
-
Another set piece disaster

I wonder if the lack of fitness that Saints seem to show towards the end of each half, also has something to with this. The training must be more orientated to passing skills than fitness training i.e. on the assumption that we will be the team in possession making the other team do the running.
-
But we didn't show that backbone against either of Ipswich or Leicester, when it mattered as against today when it didn't

He could brave himself into a climax

Is TP some kind of linament oil?

I think you've kippered yourself there. Why would anyone be impressed with 4 goals in 10 matches.
-
I know what you mean but The case against Russ is that after today we will have 1 point out of 27. But mire importantly, got 1 point out of 6 against 2 home games against Leicester and Ipswich.
-
The game, please? Not your ego.
-
So, it was irrelevant. Good, lets move on with the chat about today then.
-
It cost us many games in the Championship. Almost cost us promotion until Bazunus injury forced us to tighten up and cut out the more suicidal passing at the back.
-
Why do you say that?
-
As wasn’t starting Ross Stewart against Arsenal after months out.
-
It isn't, but a new manager would probably want to avoid this match as his first fixture. Hence, appointment after the City match
-
Bit left-field that one ..
-
I'm assuming RM's training regime prioritises retaining possession. That is probably not going to help with fitness. It would explain why we let leads slip in the 2nd half of matches.
-
So what did Google come up with?
-
It was a tactical gamble that backfired Surely, the better choice would have been to replace the left full back we had lost (KWP) with another full back (Taylor) rather than a winger who is out of both form and match practice. Combined with the unjustifiable replacement of Fernandes with another player short of form and match fitness in Smallbone, the surrender of a 2 goal lead is on Martin. Similarly, Dibling was replaced by a third player who is short of form (a whole season) and match practice in Sullemana. Three poor subs which weakened us whereas Fatawa strengthened Leicester City

You must have watched a different game to me. I thought Lallana was class against Ipswich. He is the one player we have that can control the pace of a game.

Your point being?

Just when you thought it couldn't get any more embarrassing, even Roy Cropper taking the piss ... https://x.com/awaydays_/status/1847687842362733031?s=48&t=Ll4_R0i8BeBKwwtE8XHBxA

Sorry to hear that. Let's hope your return is rewarded with a Saints win.
