I really hope Mara is nowhere near the starting 11. He has no ability to hold the ball up, has no speed and is not a threat in front of goal. Oh, and isn’t good in the air. He also lounges around the pitch as though he was playing knock about down the local rec. In a crucial match in front of hostile West Brom Fans he would be completely useless in my opinion.

I think McCarthy is by far the more experienced keeper and has played well since returning, so I am happy that he was picked over Lumley whose statistics last season were not inspiring.

I'm surprised that Hull aren't in the top 6, they were brilliant that night, played us off the park. I really expected them to be nearer the top. Their results since then have been surprisingly mixed.

Totally agree with this. Fresh legs just as Aribo and Armstrong were flagging. Bree was also blowing out of his arse for 10 minutes before his red card. Just a shame we didn't have a quality RB on the bench...

In the last PL promotion chase I think we bought Billy Sharp in the January window and his goals were critical in getting us over the line. Exactly the sort of fox in the box that we needed in this transfer window, especially after Ross Stewart's hamstring injury. There have been so many occasions this season where a cross had been fired right across the 6 yard box, begging to be tucked away.

This is just how I feel. It always feels as though he is playing for himself rather than the team. Edozie was also precociously skilled with no end product when he arrived but he has learnt whereas Sulemana hasn't.

Shout out for Che Adams whose all round play was excellent yesterday and was noticeably missed when he was subbed (wrongly) for Mara

Lose our best attacking midfielder to accommodate a centre half who leaves us exposed when he strolls into midfield. Not for me.
