  1. You should look into Heath's time on Jersey.
  2. Schadenfreude. The new happiness.
  3. It's a fair question, Bear. I started the thread after all. I am currently in the process of consuming a burger, so hopefully the beef will be loud and clear. I dislike the way Jeremy Clarkson deliberately courts controversy for publicity, and therefore the unending adulation of a social group that transcends all class boundaries. Thick Little Englanders and Conservatives. Look at those Top Gear audiences. If a meteor landed during filming the Young Conservatives would be finished. I also dislike idiots that fall for the ordinary bloke persona he likes to put on. Ooh, look at Jeremy. It looks like he's about to fúck that car. What an ordinary bloke! Ooh, there's Jeremy provocatively trying not to say "n**ger" while saying a nursery rhyme he doesn't have to say. Ah, good old Jezza - trivialising the murder of women (dirty women mind!) and tarring an entire profession. Salt of the earth. Clarkson isn't an ordinary bloke. He's extraordinarily talented at creating publicity by doing or setting out stuff he shouldn't. He pretends to be a relic of a bygone age that doesn't understand political correctness (pah, whatever that is), but has a canny habit of pushing exactly the right buttons just softly enough so he gets the publicity but is not immediately shít-canned. In some ways, you've got to have a bit of respect. Huge renumeration, gets to fly around the world and plays his fans like a cheap fiddle. But both he and his fans are fúckmuppets. That is my beef.
  4. The BBC, on Sep 21 evidently.

    the McCanns

There's no proof of an abduction, and plenty of holes in all the evidence (mainly statements from the Tapas lot) that suggest there was. But to reiterate, no physical proof of an abduction. The only thing the physical proof does is invalidate many of the statements made by those claiming abduction.

    the McCanns

From the outset the McCanns have had attack dogs. That's why the story of vile internet trolls has got such ball-faced front. People who've questioned the story openly have been getting dog's abuse for years.

    the McCanns

I've been reading it. Looks like there are some professionals in the mix.

    the McCanns

The big news this week is that the McCanns are getting abuse by vile Internet trolls. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2777145/Police-probe-trolls-sending-hate-messages-McCanns-Detectives-investigate-given-dossier-catalogues-remarks-including-death-threats.html Richard D Hall's film has been out for six months now. They still haven't sued him.
  10. 30" 29"L myself. I thought you were tall?
  11. The problem with the older generation is ostensibly their propensity to pull facts from their arses and expect you to eat their shít
  12. Introduce your links, faraway! You could be trying to sell me jeans, for all I know!
  13. Poch claims Southampton are the best team in the Premier League. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2777714/Southampton-currently-best-team-Premier-League-admits-Pochettino-ahead-match-against-old-side.html We were only 8th best with him in charge
  14. No... I don't think they'd have me.
  15. See one of the younger lads if you need more details on the cultural reference.
  16. Yeah, all one liners with no substance
  17. Tax cuts = free money. I do happen to agree with you though, it is our money. Shame we don't have any control over how it is spent. Ratio of ten to one. So, if there are 110 tweets, 100 of them are negative, and 10 of them are positive. That's 90.9%, almost 91%. Proof that you shouldn't trust Tories with numbers or detail
  18. Cameron's speech gets 10 negative tweets for every positive one. http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2014/oct/01/david-cameron-negative-tweets-10-to-one-outweigh-positive-conservative-party-conference
  19. C'mon now. Free money for the middle classes in an election year. Electability giving way to bletch's fiscal responsibility! See also, numerous Conservative governments of the 1980s.
  20. The point you're picking up on was in response to another poster saying that Andy Burnham was the PFI guy. Milburn famously said "PFI or bust" for the NHS after Labour had spent years campaigning for the opposite. btf also pulled me up on this. Her account of pre-Labour PFI added quite a bit to the discussion.

It's nice to see the Ugly diversify from a SaintsWeb fan site into a SaintsWeb & DOC fan site.
  22. Watch it. Don't watch it. Your choice, but you don't seem to have an idea of how the monetary system works, or how money is created. Banks create it from nothing, and add interest, when people promise to pay. Look at your banknotes. They work on exactly the same principle, and it's in writing. They've no intrinsic value, and the small print says "promise to pay the bearer"; that phrase again - "promise to pay". As starting this thread should illustrate, I'm interested in loads more areas than conspiracy theories. This is one of them. It was a scam, made law, which is now inexplicably our financial system. Money is created by fiat as debt when someone promises to pay. Our collective belief, credit rating systems and most importantly, the authorities are the only thing that hold it together. Those promises to pay are enforced, yo. But if you can't be arsed watching the video, here's the long and short of it, in bold. When you take out a loan or mortgage, no one is deprived of anything. The bank creates new money based on your promise, which you then pay back over the years with interest. Please bear that in mind.

Ah, but the flipside of that is budding apprentices might look upon such tutelage and think we're a site full of bitter old fúcks. /fears follow-up question

Didn't you used to hound SaintAndy666?
  25. I would advise watching the Money As Debt video before making financial statements.
