Ah, it's not there for empathy. It's there to shut debate down on any official narrative the media happens to be spinning. It recently accepted a new position, apparently. If the job title is chief shill, then assume it slept its way to the top. On this evidence, no way the promotion was performance related.
-
Brilliantly argued. "Oh no it isn't" plus "my friend says so too!" How do you do it?
-
Don't agree. There is plenty of evidence. Check the McCann files if you want more. http://www.mccannfiles.com There is no political will despite significant public interest. If you really want "noise", just refer to every UK media article on the McCanns once the UK government sent their chief spinner into Portugal to spirit them out.
-
Respectfully, you can't use a cover up to disprove the existence of another cover up. Haut de la Garenne shares similarities with this case in that there was no political will to pursue it. Still isn't, despite the fact that Savile was a visitor, among others. Moving on to the DNA, the dogs actually did recover some, but not much. They had to use low copy profiling to produce their results, but they managed to match 15 of 19 of Madeleine's genetic markers. The CPS will take a case to court on less in this country. Under those circumstances, the "noise" you refer to would be ripped apart under cross-examination. If you didn't see any issues with David Payne's evidence versus Kate's account of the same events, I'm sure a competent prosecutor would. Question to the Stonecutters and No-Homers. What are your objections to a trial? Isn't that how the justice system normally works? If the evidence is that flimsy, it'll surely be chucked out of court.

Great. More media recommended by a coward afraid of his own name. Shame really. Sure the film deserves better than to be cheerled by a defunct propagandist.

I don't think narcissism is too far off. These are people that by their own admission, decided that their fun was more important than the safety of their infant children. How does one make that call without a bit of it? In the early days, much of the media focus centred on the abrogation of some fairly basic and universally recognised parental responsibilities. Since then, they have continued to put themselves about in the media, but much less is said about the negligence angle. It's suspects, sightings, appeals, photofits & reconstructions, all predicated on the notion that the McCanns are not involved in Madeleine's disappearance. Gerry seems to love the attention, laughing away with VIPs mere weeks after the event. My position has remained consistent throughout. I don't think they are murderers, but I do think they know what happened and have a lot of help keeping the truth out of the news. First words out of Kate's mouth were "they've taken her". No attempt to see if she'd wandered off somewhere and did not look for her daughter that night. Instead, she rang four people and told them the same lie. Abduction via the window. The proof? Jemmied shutters that somehow managed to repair themselves before Portuguese plod checked them.

Ah, the usual trolls are just unhappy because SOG watched the film and reported doing so. Must be infuriating for them. From CB Fry's endless repetition on the main board, one could reasonably conclude that he thinks no one is listening to him. Same question to him that Tim got. What's Star Wars VII like? This ability to review films without watching them is wasted on Richard D Hall.

Fair play, Hypo. That is a nice machine. I was in a retro arcade pub last night. Was a good spot. I played Tron on a beautifully bespoke and well maintained machine. Got a bit of R - type in too. Alas, was a bit drunk and failed the memory test.
-
Who says I'm not judgmental? Justifiably so in dear Tim's case. He chose to literally play the man when he had me at the disadvantage of knowing what I looked like, making a number of jibes about my appearance. So forgive me if I discover he's a generic ginger heffa and decide to give it back.

I love this post too. Same reasons as above and more. I'm going to take you at face value on the millionaire stuff, simply because the thought of you repeatedly walking away from millions pleases me more than calling BS.
-
I love this post. It shows just how superb Brand is. Despite being an ex-junkie, he is a millionaire living in a mansion, bringing out envy and the judgmental worst of ginger sad cases.
-
I like Brand. He turns older people off because he constantly reminds them how f**ked up things got under their watch.
-
Turn your flash off, Hypo.

The language in that Mirror article was interesting. It begins with an assertion that there will be "a new drive for the truth", nowt in itself, but also, "disappearance" seems to have usurped "abduction" as a watchword.

Dave Cameron posing with blacked up Morris Dancers. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/david-cameron-in-race-row-after-posing-with-blackedup-morris-dancers-9791733.html Disclaimer: thread title is tongue in cheek and deliberately provocative. I don't think Dave is a racist, just a lad with very selective life experience.

If you're playing the Spectrum version of Renegade on a machine which can emulate the arcade original, you're doing it wrong.

How do you deal with the former politician on unending, unjustifiable and unlikely sums while operating on the boards of big corporates post poltical career? Tony Blair is a great example. On a separate note, his elevation to envoy for peace in the Middle East is in the running for biggest unanswered f××k you of all time.

Club, and that position has changed in the last decade.

Theoretically it's a good idea. Only really works if candidates are local, and not being selected because they are golden children or because a foreign nation invests millions in getting sympathetic candidates selected.
-
Indeed I did. One part honesty equals 1,000 me too replies.

Alas bletch, my commitment to this idea doesn't extend to implementation, so the effort you've put into this attempted interrogation (jack boots on already, I bet) would seem to be wasted. I can already sense the disappointment, so am hoping the following information is some small consolation. A consequence of having a forebear from Karachi are some odd wipeage habits. Many houses there have a jug next to the loo. You fill it up and wash most of the crap off before going on to wipe. This was one tradition my nan didn't get to put the kibosh on. It's difficult to argue that your kids should dry wipe and potentially go around smelling of sh!t. Pain in the arse (not literally) but the general distrust of dry wiping persists. As a consequence, I don't dry wipe, ever. I use scandalous amounts of bog paper, wet it somehow, and don't stop until the brown has been eliminated. It is a problematic quirk. Take cubicles for example. I have to catch water from a flushing bog, normally three or four times to get the job done. Simply dipping the bog roll into the loo defeats the whole purpose of striving for a "rust"-free sheriff's badge, so you have to stand up, turn around and get ready to catch the jets. By the end of it all, the bloke in the next cubicle thinks that you have eaten, digested and shat out S-Club 7. The person coming in after you sees droplets of water that dripped on the floor when the bog roll was making the journey from flush to arse, then sends a company wide email announcing his disgust that someone has peed all over the gents floors and asking "can we all learn to aim better?". If nothing else, it just goes to show the speed at which people rush to judgement these days. Anyone making such heinous accusations should probably have taken a lick first.

Did this last night at my old dears house. Sort of thing you clean up immediately if you don't want a shoe in your head.
