There is always the possibility that Che would stop “running” he’s got form in that respect with a history of goal bursts and long lean spells. We still have Charlie and both Armstrongs who chip in with goals, possibly others who haven’t been involved yet. I maintain if they want to go and have value let them go, Che has wanted out for agree and I doubt Tella ever wanted to come back. What I would say to that is Stephens wasn’t here, but apparently did well at Bournemouth, J B was shown the door by wreckit Ralph . They have both been good in the past but Ralph’s disastrous 4222 left central defenders hopelessly exposed when the high - half aresed press inevitably broke down, often with both full backs stranded up the pitch. I don’t think they are our biggest concern if they are the CB pairing this season. Although we do need cover and others pushing for those positions.

I was thinking Stones, Mark Wright or VVD based on how comfortable he looks on the ball.

From recollection he’s wanted away or nearly left in the last three windows, he clearly doesn’t want to be here. As much as I wanted him to stay, it always felt nailed on he would leave if a premier league club wanted him. The reality is there is nothing the club could do about this one.

I don’t think skill and ability are his issues, it’s good old fashioned work rate, application and desire, which he has to find within himself
