I really like Adam, always enjoy the podcasts. I took a position from the start that it was a massive overaction, which resulted in us being massively over punished for a minor transgression. Others clutched pearls and signalled their virtue to anyone who would listen. Others were genuinely shocked and horrified (better people than me), but I'd have to say those people must have lead very protected lives. There are some posters I really like, but took the completely opposite position to me, there are others that changed position as the dust settled. I decided to just move on a start again with everyone starting with a clean sheet. I agree Blackmore should have stayed a bit more objective in his position, but he's an emotional man and that is part of his appeal. I'd have to compliment Steve Grant ,of the TSP, for keeping balance and perspective throughout.

I don’t think it is a legal response, I think it’s a holding statement. Just my opinion.

It depends on whether it’s intended as the close of the matter or the beginning of a legal response. If it’s the latter It be doesn’t surprise me that they didn’t say too much.

I think there is quite a bit in there amongst the “humility” The intern may have bullshitted to deflect / succumbed to pressure Panel (judge, jury and executioners) were not unbiased I think there also may be an allusion to the possibility that the panel had reached a conclusion before the evidence was all gathered.

Well said, in my opinion there is far too much weight given to this aspect. Salt was on the verge of ruin before his career even got going, I don’t know if he was or wasn’t bullied, I suspect he was eager to please, until it turned extremely bad. Bullying is an easy get out and over used. How do you actually get anyone to do anything without applying some pressure along the way?

Fair point, THB like a lot of us , thought it was a storm in a teacup, but the club knew it was going to get much worse, so as you suggest everyone should have been briefed on their behaviour and to show a bit of humility.

I don’t know which day, but I’m sure they are all enjoying the nice weather on this glorious long weekend, do it definitely won’t be before Tuesday. That also gives them plenty of time to delete emails and WhatsApps and set up a sacrificial lamb or two.

If Salt was coerced and bullied to the extent he claims, it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that there may have been a potential “plea bargain” or “saving one’s own arse” that came into play here.
