Why was it unrealistic to take Dragan at his word? What would a consolidation season achieve and what would we be consolidating, our status as a championship side? Where I do agree is that is how the season is shaping up, but I don’t agree it’s what was to be expected. I also think we need to reserve judgment until we see who we have “hung on to” when the window closes. For what it’s worth I’m not disagreeing with you per se, as it’s stands right now I’m both disappointed and frustrated, could all be different with a win on Sunday and a bolstered squad before the window shuts. I keep saying it, but Ross and Shea are big losses, the second half of last seas when Ross was fit he was instrumental in our success.

I can’t speak for the poster you are responding to, but personally my jitters are based on Dragan’s apparent over promising and the belief that we didn’t have time to faff about given our starting league position and the seemingly more competitive nature of the championship this season.

I like Archer and would prefer him to stay over the other less favoured players rumoured to go, I have no idea about Dobbin, can’t say I’d really heard of him before we signed him and he hasn’t done much so far. Let’s hope he delivers.

Are we properly prepared given the difficulties presented by the points deduction and the uncertainty around Tonda? The pre season friendlies, both in the quality of the opposition and the small number of games are being called into question, as is the match fitness of the squad. I feel we were given the impression everything was far more under control that it seems to be. I understand our position in the food chain, but the way there is so much speculation around our better players it feels more like the aftermath of relegation than the second championship season. I guess a couple of wins on the bounce then the above becomes irrelevant, but we have to get those couple of wins.

If THB goes, (id like him to stay), he’s earned the right for a crack at something better. He goes with my blessing. I wouldn’t get rid of Quarshie, and don’t put Ramsdale in the “deadwood” category, but I think I know what you mean. But I think I’ve had about enough of Edozie, despite showing promise he never actually improves, and rarely affects games.
