I think Wrexham ran out of steam. I didn’t that they could keep that level of intensity up. Reminded me of Ralph burnout.

In that situation I’d say it was as much to do with squad depth and the fact that Russ’s walking football wasn’t as physically demanding.

It was a massive problem last season but yesterday it seemed to play a major part in our winning the match. It was reminiscent of the Strachan era, when, if memory serves, we achieved a lot of results late in games. I don’t want to start another Stephens debate, I do appreciate him, others don’t, but he was like a new player yesterday in terms of speed and recovery. So well done to Still and team, getting the team up and ready for a long hard season where we will need be consistently at peak performance.
  5. Pumping it long to midgets, slow builds up and a red who’s been overwhelmed by the occasion. Oh dear
  6. Just taken my seat, it hasn’t felt like this since wba in the playoffs
  7. He had played 9, it’s his preferred position, but imo he’s terrible there.
  8. I reckon you and many others are seriously underestimating the strength of this season’s championship and how dreadful we have been.
  9. I think that's it in a nutshell. I don't want to wee on anyone's cornflakes, but I given our previous form I am going to reserve my judgment.
  10. He’s training alone according to the Echo, so that is just the club protecting their asset, alternatively it’s code for he isn’t training at all.
  11. Exactly what a club plant would say!
  12. I don’t see what Quarshie and D Downes have done to make so many assume that they will be starters? Similarly Ross Stewart not starting, is he injured?
  13. I haven't read all of the above posts so don't know if this is new info, Echo reporting ... Dibling training away from squad with exit talks ongoing
  14. Tyler is a grout player
  15. Why would he though, he'd get lumps kicked out of him every week for a fraction of the fame and fortune?
  16. Aspiring to play champions league football and ending up at championship Saints, I’d say that having your hopes “dashed” is tincy wincy bit of an understatement!
  17. I think he’s more Harrison Reed than Jack Cork. Serviceable but unremarkable, with a questionable attitude.
  18. It’s a shame for us, but not for him, he is clearly a rising star, he owes us nothing. He’s one of a very small number of players who’s head never dropped during the abomination that was last season. We (SR) failed him.
  19. the premier league isn’t much fun anymore, but it is where you need to be to avoid becoming progressively weaker. You just can’t afford to get stuck in the championship for too long.
  20. I don’t think Moyes does that, I seem to recall an interview recently where he said he does not do that and it doesn’t work on modern players?
  21. Their new ground looks spectacular, maybe this is the start of a new era
  22. He’d be in good hands with Moyes
  23. Liverpool is a very friendly city, and he’s a few years older.
  24. I'm a big fan of women, in general
