    Fixed it!
  2. We could have beaten Wolves and Palace for example, both were on terrible runs at the time we rolled over for them. Man united were there for the taking, both times. Momentum is a fantastic thing, the gestalt, we are now totally broken, who knows what may have happened if we’d spent our money more wisely? Who knows what other teams may have started wilting under pressure?
  3. I wasn’t expecting us to stay up, I just wanted to give it a good crack, as Luton did last season. Who knows, we could have sucked more teams into the fight?
  4. We could have spent better though?
  5. We have the very worst owners it’s possible to have, and I include Dragan in that, he is the head of the snake and should have dealt with the incompetence around him much sooner. The buck stops with him. It still hasn’t been dealt with now, a bit of a cabinet reshuffle, a new dof who doesn’t know English football who no one had ever heard of, yet another left field managerial appointment. The buffoonery seemingly knows no limits.
  6. If being “ready” is the criteria I’m not sure anyone will ever be ready again. So huge is the gulf between the premier league and championship, as we have witnessed these last two seasons. We may always have struggled, but not like this, we could have at least come out with some self respect had we made a better job of recruitment and our managerial appointments.
  7. Gonna open a can of whoop ass on ‘em!
  8. Irrelevant, this is an English forum and you have chosen to insult the whole of England with your disrespect.
  9. Leapt Matthew, leapt! We are not Americans. For shame, well below the required minimum posting standard. Very shabby, very shabby indeed. I’m not angry, I’m just disappointed Matthew, very disappointed.

    Wrong man for our situation.
  11. When thought you’d broken it send it to the Hadron Collider, there is always room for further breaking.
  12. I guess if you’re talking in WW1 terms it’s very apt.
  13. Interesting, but I have to confess it’s pure speculation!
  14. He posts on here @gio1saints
  15. There was a piece in the Echo regarding Fraser’s recent return to fitness, which was news to me. Unless it was code for something else.
  16. Stewart, Larios, ABK, Ryan Fraser, Charlie Taylor and Flynn Downes, how much are we paying players who contribute absolutely nothing?
  17. We have, and when you talk about the development of players we have had a series of managers who weren't anywhere near top level players or managers themselves. How is a championship clogger like Martin going to develop flair players, or Selles who didn't even play, Jones the lower league nobody. What I'd give for a manager like Koeman, not only his record as a footballer but his gravitas, his ability to sell the club to ambitious players. I know people will come back with Gerrard, Lampard and Rooney as examples of where this principle doesn't work, but in the main players need to respect what the manager has achieved on and off the field.
  18. Can’t he play CB also? We are desperately short there. I thought he looked a solid player. We need all experienced hands to the pump. Some humble pie needs to be eaten by whoever needs to eat it to get Downes, ABK and Taylor back into the team / squad.
  19. D=4 glad you were paying attention
  20. Block 4, my error. Not like you to pick up on errors.
  21. I doubt he’s happy, but I also doubt it his personal money. I take your point, but the buck absolutely stops with him and it’s gone on too long.

  23. Its not weird at all, he has a the man at the top, he is ultimately responsible. This is how it works throughout the business world. I’d say he has got of very lightly thus far.
  24. It was mentioned by one of the TSP presenters that we continue to sell out despite our shocking home record. I don’t doubt this, but we are not selling out to Saints fans, not in block 4 anyway. I have different people sitting all around me at every game, no singing, no reaction, no engagement whatsoever. This used to be a lively part of the ground, but it started going downhill in the last premier league season, was ok in the championship but is just depressing now. I feel like I was singing on my own and embarrassing myself when I get animated. I presume they are a mix of opposition fans and premier league tourists, we are probably one of the few teams where local interest has fallen off to a level that there are plenty of tickets on resale. I believe the club have deliberately held seats back for “walk ups” as I couldn’t purchase the season ticket next to mine even though it belonged to one of our group last season who didn’t renew and hasn’t been occupied since. I guess I won’t have to worry about any of that next season. Anyone having similar experiences?
  25. It has been reported he has downed tools, not even in the squad, training alone.
