Has anyone said “risk free?” I’ve seen “high risk” used, you’d have to agree he’s higher risk than some of the others touted. Would Still have been your choice, if not who? He definitely wouldn’t have been anywhere near my list, but if we appoint him, I will keep an open mind.

A manager who adapts in game would be very refreshing in itself, after the last 5 buffoons who displayed a mixture of stubbornness and or incompetence in this critical area.

Good shout. You should start a thread “alternative awards” or something similar.

that’s six points guaranteed next season for us

I still prefer him to the two that immediately followed him. I would have him over Martin any day.

I can't see why anyone would wish to deny Fernandes that honour , irrespective of the teams performance. Not only has he been our best player, our most consistent player, who's head has never dropped and considering his tender age he's been phenomenal.

I'm not sure about the optics

These jokes are getting cornea by the minute.

To do what, make an announcement? Presumably the recruitment process itself is well advanced at this stage?

Just lifted this from their website “Wilder opted not to include Ben Brereton Diaz and Femi Seriki on Thursday but confirmed both will be available and in the squad for the second leg at Bramall Lane.” ..,not that too much can be read into that, could have had a relapse

Sheffield united v Bristol City. City 3-0 down from first leg. Two things, where is BBD, not even in the squad and not listed as injured. Also, I don’t like Sheffield Utd, for the record.

Get back under your bridge you little hobgoblin.

I think I’d prefer Delia Smith to Still Will. I was extremely underwhelmed when I became aware of the potential of having Russel Martin as our manager, I feel even more underwhelmed, if that were possible, by this possibility.
-
True, but that was in response to the post that “we could do better than Rohl”. I would say Rohl fits what you describe, but he may have different ideas.
-
Can we? Do you think we are an attractive option for anyone “better” at the moment?
-
With an absolute basket case of a club who he saved from relegation last season when it looked hopeless, finishing mid table this season without, as far as I know, any investment in the playing side. Also, and this does play into it, the amount of media attention he is getting.
-
Not necessarily premier league echo Rohl has now spoken openly to RB Live in his native country about his next steps, and admitted he targets a job in one of Europe's top divisions.
-
I didn’t think he’d come here, his stock has risen too high for us. It seems we are widely perceived within the game as a shambles of a club best avoided.
-
“Wanting to work with the best players” rules him out in itself.

He was doing really well there, it was a very unpopular decision to replace him.

I have a feeling it will be someone who’s existence only the forum nerds will be vaguely aware of.
