  1. Phil, how much is 375.000.000 in sterling
  2. Oh I don't know Steve, If I read that right, 8% interest a day and a couple of weeks, seems a whole lot worse
  3. Lol.....wait till Dubai Phil reads this .......(Fair play Phil, you said all along he was a fake)
  4. You might get a leak from Fratton or even Vantis, but I doubt it. Unless of course Directors resign, then we will know what the statement of affairs says, but I think we will be waiting until the 1st for any news.
  5. Two very telling bits in there pedg; The Wolves boss said in the Express and Star: "We had a player in my office and wanted to sign him and we couldn't match the deal that was being offered down there. It would be grossly unfair to name the player. "Then another one that we were trying to sign and we were negotiating with also ended up at Portsmouth, on a deal that we wouldn't be prepared to give him. "It doesn't make me feel bitter, not at all, but it's ****-eyed that football is allowed to get so much in debt. So two players that Wolves lost out on, when pompey threw around offers, that Wolves couldn't or wouldnt meet. The reality of course is that pompey couldn't meet them either, but that didn't bother them - they still got the players. Would be interesting to know who they are and when this was - I'm sure HMRC would be interested as well.
  6. Whilst there is loads that we dont understand or even know about, the one things that keeps digging at me, is why they never tried the Administration route. The gamble they took going to court was massive and still is. Whatever way you dress it up it looks like a liquidated club is worth more to Chainrai, than one in administration. Whether he gets to keep the ground (I assume he will) just how much is that worth? It can't be close to the 18 million he lent them can it?
  7. Indeed, but expect to hear about lots of people ready to take over
  8. It's being done by an independant company - partly owned by our old Chairman
  9. Big time.... He was there on Saturday
  10. I think you are forgetting the fact that they have had an email AND a phone call from potential new owners
  11. If the club is insolvent on Wednesday, I think there is fair chance it has been insolvent for a while.......... That hasn't stopped them from trading so far. And to the letter of the law they are probably already liable to a certain extent. It's **** or bust - new owner with lots of money or wound up.
  12. It would still need to go through a formal process. The document will be lodged with the court on Wednesday, it doesn't mean the judges will run down and open it there and then. The case is set for the 1st, nothing sooner. Of course the point you raise about the directors being liable is spot on and as guided missle has said, if Vantis are saying they are insolvent, then, story will almost certainly resign.
  13. Yes they will. Theres nobody to stop them
  14. clapham is your best man for that, but my understanding is that this is almost in two parts now. Wednesday is nothing more than a deadline, regardless of whether they can or can't pay, nothing will happen until the 1st. (Unless they push the club into admin) 1) The question of whether they are insolvent 2) The small matter of 11.5 million I think it could even be a case that if the PL advance them the money and they pay, they could still be wound up
  15. Only the court can wind them up and the judge gets two days to read the documentation and then the 1st is the first available sitting. Regardless of whether they are insolvent, nothing will happen until the 1st. There will be leaks i'm sure as to what Vantis are saying, but aslo story teller will let the world know if vantis are saying anything positive
  16. We wont learn anything on Wednesday - That's just when they have to provide the court with a financial statement and the case will be heard on the 1st March. Depending what that document says, will dictate what action is taken. If Vantis are saying they are insolvent then there really isn't much they can do with the exception of turning up on the 1st with a new owner, who is happy to write a cheque for 11.5 million. I think it is safe to say that pompey will already know what Vantis , make of thier books, so theres not much more that they can do except try to find new owners. The other option is if someone puts them into admin, but they have had plenty of oppurtunities to do so and no one has (I find this the strangest part of it all) so it really will be **** or bust on the 1st.
  17. Your posts have gone down hill, quicker than pompeys bank balance. Trying to suggest that the the commercial agreement we made with Arsenal, is comparable with the PL bailing you lot is laughable, but very much akin with how your club is run. It may well be meaningless anyway as to if the PL pay up or not. If the statement fo affairs , shows you to be trading insolvently, the money won't save you. You continue to sign players and stick two fingers up at HMRC. If you stay up at the expense of another club after being bailed out, then the PL will be in a bigger mess than they are already in. I'm afraid it's time to say goodbye
  18. I loved the bit....ive had an email and a phone call Well thats that then....done deal

  21. Actually whether we like to accept it or not (whatever the opinion) the numbers on here represent a suffient percentage of the fan base, to suggest that it is representitive of most fans (I know loads of fans that would disagree, but from a marketing perspective - i think it ticks the boxes????) and with regard to your last point- that's just plain silly and if you really beleive that people write stuff that they don't believe in, to curry favour with faceless people, who they will probably never meet, then that is just sad............or a way of justifying (to yourself) why most fans think you are a bit weird and very wrong on most of your opinions
  22. Because you said Kevin was a Saints fan and most Saints fans think you are wrong.
  23. Wish you had emailed fella, Would have been more than happy to get you a ticket, after you turning up in Santa Monica.
