  1. Presenter; Well Peter let's have a look in your attic. Storrie; Ok, this way Presenter; There's lot of empty brown envelopes Peter, but were looking for something that we might be able to sell. Storrie: I've got this..... Presenter: What is it Peter? Storrie: It's an original "TY" teddy bear Presenter: And you think that might be worth something? Storrie; Oh yes, espeacially given their association with pompey Presenter: And how much do you think it is worth then Peter Storrie: About 38 million pounds Presenter; What on earth makes you think it's worth that much Storrie; My 21 years experience. Presenter; But aren't they like 5.99 in the local toyshop Storrie; But we won the FA cup, I;ve been on the phone all night, nobody loves the club as much as me, lots of people want to buy us Presenter; NURSE, NURSE
  2. Always used to take January off from drinking. It isnt as bad as you think, although your mates will seem very loud, when you go out. Never did it with the fags as well so fair play. The first pint you have ... you will **** three (that all gets a bit weird)
  3. Is this a joke? This is a direct quote from that article (May be i'm being naive - but would assume it is genuine if in the Telegraph) Asked if Chainrai’s pledge of up to £15 million would add to the debts, Andronikou said: “Not necessarily. I need to establish exactly on what basis it is being advanced to me but effectively it is there to safeguard the immediate future of the club So this bloked waltzed into court telling everybody all is ok, they can fund administration and here's the proof................ But doesn't have any idea on what basis Ballo is providing the funds?????????????????? If he doesn't know if it is going to add to the debt, how can he be shouting the club will cost 30 million??????????? May be I've missed something, but that seems totallly bizarre to me.
  4. Let them have it pedg. They need the 20 million + to simply keep trading (Not sure why as Balloo has shown his proof of funds to keep them going through admin.....unless he didn't really mean it) That's there main revenue streams gone for a minimum of two years and all it buys them is time to find a buyer at 30 million. So what does 30 million buy you; 1) A championship side that will almost certainly start next season with additional minus points. ( Sound familiar- not sure what the difference is between coca cola and league 1 in tv revenue terms) 2) Although the 30 million will clear the debts, the club is still bleeding money, so additional money to fund that, until players can be sold. 17 of their squad are out of contract in June, that means no transfer fee for them 3) No infrastructure, ground or training ground 4) Reduced (Even further) fan base = less revenue 5) Future penalty points if Storrie is convicted of tax evasion. (Storries relates to the club - arry and mandicks dont) Compare that to what 13 million bought ML League one team on minus points 32,000 stadium (7 years old) Training complex Land (Sorry for mentioning Jacksons farm) 8 million pounds worth of players Decent fan base External revenue (Concerts, events, seminars etc) Two large houses And a nice picture of a train
  5. As I said, I only remember him for looking like a tramp. Can anybody explain to me what he actually achieved in politics (Apart from being on the wrong end of a landslide)
  6. Not the full one but this from the news; http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/custompages/custompage.aspx?pageid=81796
  7. Billionaire actually - please get it right
  8. They most certainly aren't out of the woods yet. The 15th is massive for them. If they don't satisfy the funding or the cloud, then that day turns into the WUP (My understanding from the court transcript). The admin man says everything is fine and in order..... strange Tanya didnt think so, but we will see. In any event they are going down and then will be slapped with another points deduction next season , as we pass them. Once in League one, they will then get the points deduction from Storries tax case and they will be down to crowds sub 7,000 and that wont generate enough to pay baloo back his 1.2 millon pound a year lease and will go back to being in debt all over again. Admin for the third time somewhere around 2012 / 2013.
  9. According to our skate posters (Who seemed very well briefed on the subject) it was dependant on attendances and estimated number of fans the new club could expect to take to games etc and putting them into a league that best catered for that.
  10. What were his acheivements that earn him such status? (Genuinely don't know, just remember him looking like tramp on rememberance day , many moons ago.
  11. Bung - (Edited for being thick)
  12. They can smell the fish ESB and that's the problem. They just want them gone. The idea that the HMRC fooks everything by winding them up, scares them senseless. They will get the minus 9 and then they are gone from the PL. If they have to pay them early, they will. It's no skin of their nose and they get to enusre the fixtures are fullfilled... a massively better alternative to them going bust and having to re-write the league. It will then be down to the PL to put pressure on the FL and FA to make sure they get whacked with huge point deductions, to make sure they don't pop back up to darken their door. In my opnion the greatest risk to pompey going bust is the 15th March. If they get past that, they are simply buying into a slow painful death, that will see parity restored within 14 months as Saints go up and the blue few go down....again.
  13. Well HMRC got what they wanted and didn't have to give to much away in terms of their angle or evidence to get it. They started the day by asking for a second hearing to answer the points raised today and they got it. 1) Who lent who the money 2) Does that leave chainrai in a position to leagally put the club in administration 3) Is the adminstrator indpendant Papers to be lodged in 10 days. Now assumming that HMRC and Tanya are right about the money. That's it game up, regardless of what finance is in place for administration, it would prove adminsitration was not valid and the case would turn into the actioning of the WUP (With criminal charges to follow I'd guess). Now, where as some indidviduals might not be adverse to back dating certain paperwork or re writing history, if I am not mistaken then this would need to be countersigned / approved / filed by Fuglers (Who are now minus a certain employee Jacobs) which won't happen (Just wait for a document signed by azougy) So unless HMRC and Tanya are wrong, this really could be the end of them. The second point leads back to the first and if there was sufficient cause to oust the current administrator, then they are fooked anyway, so my gess is that it all comes down to who lent who the money and whose been telling porkies. If the blue few think today was a good result, then I would hate to see what a bad one looks like...........................15th maybe?
  14. Next hearing the 12th - For a day
  15. Back in court on the 15th Judge calls for another hearing to establish validity of appointment, week commencing 15/3. He wants evidence of payments b/w club & chainrai
  16. twitter says Judge leaning towards pompey
  17. Mitchell not impressed, with proof of funds...... I think he is going to ask them to deposit the money in some sort of escrow / court account. ....LOL i think Chainrai would **** his pants
  18. Indeed, with the PL managing their transfer dealings, it might well be that they paid Kaboul and the other players VAT money direct to HMRC
  19. At least the administrator had his finger on the pulse yesterday, when he said that it was probably just a case of HRMC wanting to dot the "I's" and cross the "T's" Well he got one bit right..... with the "Cross"..... unfortuneatley he wants to put a big cross right across the whole company name.
  20. I'm not sure I buy into this "Make an example" theory, although I'm quite sure it would have a positive effect on them receiving outrstanding monies from other clubs. My personal veiw is they are just dealing with pompey as they would any other business. In the past it might be said that football clubs have had flexibility that other types of businesses haven't, but the reality is simple; They didn't pay, created a debt, agreed a repayment schedule, didnt pay, agreed another, didn't pay and so on. When they had the chance to raise funds, they sold two players........ and bought another two in. The whole time that they have been increasing thier tax liabilities,, they could have gone into admin. They didn't until the last possible day. The whole thing has been a gamble. Everybody knows you don't fook with the taxman and not only have pompey fooked him, they've done publically with two fingers in the air at him. Waht HMRC is doing to pompey is no different than how they would treat any company, infact arguably they would have acted sooner, had it not been a football club.
  21. I'll bare my arse on the town hill steps if it shows he was offside. Shocking decision
