  1. He definitely had an air of arrogance when he first got into the team, striding around the pitch like he was Cantona. I remember it distinctly. Glad to see him doing well though. It's a shame we couldn't keep him and Surman when we got relegated as they would have both been great players to have on our rise back through the league's.
  2. We should look at Patson Daka, although west ham will probably be back in for him in the summer and will almost certainly offer more money.
  3. Not suited to Ralph's style at all.
  4. Great news if Fulham stay up and Lemina is playing, we might actually get a decent fee for him.
  5. I hope not, we should be putting our strongest team out in the cup games to the point of resting players in league games around it.
  6. 54 shots on goal, 8 on target in those 6 games. Doesn't take into account any shots after the whistle has gone like the excellent save he made today, or the times he slides in quicker than McCarthy does to smother the ball before the shot is taken, or the times he's claimed the ball in the air to stop it reaching someone. Also it isn't a coincidence, as others have pointed out, that in the 6 games he's played we've only faced 8 shots on target, in only 2 games have we faced more than 1. This was a common theme last time he was in goal for us with Aldeweireld and Lovren in front of him,it's clearly something he does in organising the defense and it works so let's not belittle it.
  7. ...what? I was talking about the one on one. The shot he scored was an instinctual shot with his first touch, he knew instantly what he was going to do and he did it.
  8. Really enjoy seeing Forster back to how he was at Celtic the first time and with us just after he joined. Commanding the box even better than before and making brilliant saves as well as using his initiative in releasing the ball quickly on occasion for breakaways.
  9. Passed it? Yeah, absolutely. Armstrong was free directly in the centre of the goal.
  10. Definitely seems to be that way. He should be looking for the pass whenever he has time really.
  11. Having one already cheers mate, just answering someone that replied to my post as tends to happen on a forum. Cheers!
  12. Absolutely. Never denied saying it. Time will tell if I was wrong as really he's blown hot and cold too, but his strength and passing ability are big attributes regardless of how his goalscoring record holds out.
  13. Because only one of them has done it consistently over the last 5 years, regressing from a player that actually went past defenders to someone that turns and passes backwards and still manages to give it away more than anyone else.
  14. See how Walcott does when he comes back (if) as our form nose dived once he got injured. It would have to be on massively reduced wages but I'd love for us to sign him. Would much rather see Tella take Redmond's space in the squad, who would still have clubs willing to pay £15-20million for him as for some bizarre reason he's still highly rated elsewhere. Then we get wages off the bill and cash to spend.
  15. He's lucky we were already winning, if that was at level or a goal down...the defender up against him fell on his arse.
  16. Fuck off Redmond for fuck sake.... Well done to the rest of them.
  17. Diallo with a bit of skill that went unnoticed there that made McBurnie look a right twat.
  18. They always say "there was no intent there" when justifying a red card not being given. What about when there clearly was intent to do some damage then?
  19. Looked deliberate to me...
  20. Bednarek lost his head after that challenge.
  21. What the fuck Diallo? Had Adams running through on goal and he basically passed it backwards!
  22. Armstrong definitely man of the match, commentators too often take the easy option with goalscorers.
  23. With no fans in the ground who was shouting "come on them you cunt" at Forster taking his time over the goalkick?
  24. Strong in the tackle, picks out really good passes, goes past people easily, makes intelligent runs off the ball, got a good strike on him. If he was from the continent he'd get raved about.
  25. Quite funny really, we've demanded more defensive work from Minamino and he's obliged, but at the cost of all the attacking threat he offered.
