Bunch of morons.

Why? We've got the same players who will be playing the same way (it's a club philosophy remember, not Adkins) and we're still 3 points clear of the bottom 3.
-
Jesus.

Also...it wasn't that long ago (days in fact) that people on here were slating Chelsea fans for their blind devotion and hatred to Di Matteo and Benitez respectively...let's not go down the same route.

Similar to you, as angry as I am from Nigels point of view I can sort of understand why Cortese has made this decision (even if I don't agree with it). Obviously I hope Pochettino is a huge success for us. If it works out half as well as the last "disgusting, ridiculous" managerial change then we'll be f*cking flying.

Literally everyone involved with football who has a twitter account is talking about it now.

"Nigel Adkins has best win % of any manager in So'ton history. Rise of 48 places in league pyramid in 26 months under him"
-
I don't think we should believe for one second there is any underlying reason to this other than progression - Cortese sees this as the next step, Adkins did nothing wrong. And as angry and confused as I am, I feel compelled to point out that this thread was happening almost word for word when Pardew was sacked and Adkins replaced him...

In all honesty this new bloke might do very well for us. But it's really, really not fair on Adkins.
-
Really f*cked off.
-
Simply must be signing someone now then.
-
His touch is sublime, the way he brought down that long ball from Yoshida and laid it off for Davis last night was amazing.

Wasn't David Hockaday the head youth coach when Racine was here? Makes sense he'd go back for him. -
Stop what? Who do you think is better? Danny Rose isn't as good defensively and I've never rated Assou-ekotto, he seems to have benefited from the old "absence makes the heart grow fonder" while he's been injured. Only reason he looked decent for Spurs was because he was playing with Bale who took all the attention from the opposition team, affording Assou-ekotto tons of space.

What about the quality ball in for Puncheon who completely messed up the header? His crossing is outstanding and his corners are usually the same, just because he had an off day (or maybe the Chelsea defenders are a bit good?) we shouldn't drop him. Our best option on the left other than Lallana.

Ian Holloway making a mug of himself again.

What point would that be? He said something about if he needs to go and get bread and milk he goes and gets it, whilst the Premier League teams who need to buy a striker wait until january and then do all their business, whilst the media speculate about it. There is no point to any of that. The bloke rants for the sake of it. He's like that one bloke down your local who bangs on about political correctness gone mad whilst knowing sod all about anything. -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=m1SKIA6ulr0 He rambles on trying to make metaphors, and in the end just makes himself sound like he hasn't got a clue what point he's trying to make. Even the reporters sound bemused as to where this anger has come from. Whenever I've heard him since relegation with Blackpool, he always seems to have this weary tone in his voice like everyone and everything is against him and we're all supposed to feel sorry for the bloke. I honestly cannot stand him.

Not that long ago I read on here that Astori had definitely signed, now it's this guy. What to believe...
-
Well surprisingly to me, that sounds like he is in negotiations. I honestly didn't think he'd want to sign.
-
No.

Surely anything is risky away to the Champions League holders? No matter who plays where or how? -
Certainly more deserving than Downing.
-
If they were playing for the top 4 they probably would already. For those who disagree, ask yourselves this - were Welbeck playing for us, do you think he'd be an England first teamer right now?
-
Not for definite. Things are going brilliantly for him now but there were around 2 years where he hated being here. He'll almost certainly be offered more money elsewhere as well. I'd love it if he would resign for us - but I will understand if he ends up leaving.
