Diallo's been largely anonymous this half. Obviously protecting himself from a second yellow. Should have replaced him IMO (yes, I know we don't have a natural replacement for his position in the matchday squad but maybe an out of position player would have been more effective than someone looking to avoid a sending off?)

The 'level' of the foul didn't really matter. A foul's a foul and if the ref didn't make an error the ensuing passage of play wouldn't have happened. I'd have been fuming if I was out there.

If Ings scores that goal we'd be raving about how good an effort it was, not banging on about it being poor play from their keeper or defender

Yeah, pretty sure JWP or Romeu would have used their greater experience there and gone to ground on the first or second touch.

Decent half from us in terms of dominating the play overall. 3 or 4 dangerous breaks into their box which we should have benefited from with a smidgen more clinicality. The ref has made the difference. Hey ho. Fancy our chances in the second half.

One thing that differentiates us from the traditional top 6 sides is that we're not in the face of the referee at half time when they make a clanger like the missed foul on Diallo. We're too nice sometimes.
