  1. There aren't any trolls on this forum
  2. Have you ever thought about a career change into football management Alps? I reckon you'd be a natural
  3. So, not at home flower arranging then?
  4. I would say the opposite. We tend to get very little news from the club these days when someone has a long term injury or is taking ages to regain fitness. Exhibit A m'lud...... recent examples: Gardos, JRod & McCarthy.
  5. Next Tuesday. They've got Wolves in the FA cup this weekend
  6. Sarge? Rosemary the telephone operator?
  7. Not withstanding that Puel has only "rotated" 2.7 players on average from league game to league game throughout the course of the season (or only 1.6 players per game if you discount the hectic December/January period)...
  8. As others have suggested, I would venture that you're misinterpreting what the Sky reporter was saying (or perhaps he didn't articulate it as clearly as he could've). I suspect this is more about Napoli's value being "too much" rather than anything to do with our ability to pay, per se.
  9. Kaveh Solhekol ‏@SkyKaveh Southampton talking to Napoli today about signing striker Manolo Gabbiadini. Napoli want £17 million. Too much for Southampton.
  10. If they'd done it 10 years ago I might have led a normal life...
  11. There aren't any trolls on this forum. The mods reiterated a few weeks ago that trolling won't be tolerated and no-one has been ejected since, ergo there can't be any trolls on this forum. Indeed, this is probably the only forum on the whole world wide web that doesn't have any trolls. Not a single one.
  12. Some stats.... Looking at the starting line-ups for just our Premier League games.... Puel has "rotated" 2.7 players per game on average (57 changes over 21 games) over the course of the season thus far. During the hectic December/January period, Puel "rotated" 5 players per game (35 changes over 7 games) From the start of the season to just before the hectic December/January period, Puel "rotated" just 1.6 players per game on average (21 changes over 13 games) Puel has "rotated" more than 4 players in only 4 games. We lost two and won two of those games. Of course, all of the above stats include some enforced changes for injuries and suspensions, so the figures for actual "rotation" (out of choice rather than necessity) would be lower.
  13. Good to see them waxing lyrical about JWP's performance though
  14. Would that be the same "whining t**ts" who said we should get rid of Puel because there's no way he will ever play any differently?
  15. Make sure you use your third wish wisely!
  16. This is how the Telegraph reported Reed: So, he didn't use the word "sign", but I can see why that might be the most logical conclusion from what Reed said (even though 'replacing from within' is still a valid interpretation) Edit: that said, Reed's last sentence there, about it not happening if at the end if the window, tends to suggest that the 'replacement' would be a signing, so, on reflection I think Reed may have been economical with the truth here...
  17. Put the alcohol down. Step away from the alcohol!
  18. Or.... he was clever/devious enough to not specify if Fonte's replacement (as one of our regular centre backs) would come from within the wider squad or via a new signing. His words can be interpreted either way.
