Can't Tonda tell that Joe being on £45k per week doesn't have hungry eyes?
-
A huge loss for the Millwall game. No Scienza, no party.
-
Clearly missing Leo Scienza today, the only player that would leave everything on the pitch for the Saints. (I can see a big offer coming in for him in January to test the resolve of SR).
-
I know it's a big if, but if he does get us promoted I would wage a bet that he would do a far better job than RM as he already has us playing like a top half premier league team, he clearly studies our opponents and adapts our tactics accordingly. All of which RM evidently never achieved/ did.
-
Not necessarily from a first team manager perspective but may be from a U21 / Assistant manager point of view. That would certainly be a bigger draw for Tonda than staying with the Saints with no guarantee of promotion to the premier league.
-
Yeah, an end of season contract will tempt him to leave (and there will be clubs chasing his signature). He's already our best manager since World War 2 so why tempt fate, respect him for what he's already done. He's turned us into a force to be reckoned with, overnight.

Look at the table. We've scored 26 goals and conceded 22 goals. In the last four games we've scored 2 + 3 + 5 + 3 = 13, so yes, in the league, we've scored as many goals in the last 4 games as we did in the 13 games before that under WS. (And conceded 3 in the last 4 games compared to 19 in the previous 13).

Even some premier clubs might be looking at Tonda now, better sign him up quick...

Give him the job at half time!!

Yes, yes, yes!!

OMG!! It's happening...

Instead of having one manager why not have a committee of managers. I'm quite sure a few of them are still on the payroll. They can even have a quick board meeting at half time, not to discuss substitutions (don't be silly), but which manager(s) should be sacked that week and to line up managerial replacement(s). For good measure, if we were ever winning a game at half time, full time bonuses could be finalised for those with the best suggestions for snatching a improbable defeat from the jaws of an almost certain victory. Just a thought... 🤔

The JURIC is back in. Verdict: I'll stick my neck out on this one but this appointment has the hallmarks of being a very good one and IJ will instill some pride back into our play even if we do get relegated. Contractually, it's a win win situation for both parties in the Summer but my gut instinct is that IJ will stick around to easily get us (re)promoted and rebuild us as a mid-table EPL side. IJ's stock will dramatically increase and he'll eventually move on to a bigger club.
