  1. Of course not no! But I hardly think the circumstances are comparable. Expectations were a lot higher and the calibre of our players was supposedly a lot better.
  2. Why should what happened last season or the season before that have any bearing with fans reactions to today’s performance? Surely its time to move on!
  3. I have no idea (I assume that you have compared that game because it was the forth fixture into last season? I don’t remember!)
  4. Agreed (Mostly, maybe not about shooting them mind!)
  5. No personal offence intended at all here but I would be.
  6. As I said, regardless of there age its still nothing short of absurd to be booing the team already.
  7. Of course fans shouldn’t have to make allowances because of there age. We are 4 games into a 46 game season; regardless of there age to turn on the team this early on is absurd and counter productive.
  8. If they need the fans to let them know that today wasn’t great then we really are in trouble! There is no way anyone can justify booing the team four league games into a season, especially as this is such a young team which needs our support not our ridicule. As far as I’m concerned those that booed showed a complete lack of compassion, patients and understanding. Yes people have the ‘right’ to boo if they want. Doesn’t make them correct to do so, not in these circumstances anyway

    Killer!

Yeah he didn't go great today. When killer has an off day it really shows us up at the back. He is still finding his feet again though to be fair.
  10. Yes unfortunately it is. Doesn’t make it right though, not in these circumstances at least.
  11. Based on the Sky coverage I would say he had a good game. But of course I did have the advantage of replays and close ups which people obviously didn’t get at the stadium.
  12. Based on the Sky coverage I would say he had a good game. But of course I did have the advantage of replays and close ups.
  13. I actually agree with you, blimey! I would sooner there be half as many fans in the ground if it meant that the lads would get the supporters full support.
  14. I only watched it on Sky, but I'm afraid to say there certainly was booing aimed at our lads from the home 'faithful'. In the last 20minutes or so it became very evident.
  15. If I was going off what I witnessed today id say we were in for a real struggle. It’s going to be a rollercoaster of a season, but in fairness I expected no more (or less for that matter) However I feel its only fair to judge them on the performances from the four league games so far, and based on that I would say the team is capable of finishing anywhere from 16th-10th.
  16. So far yes. I still have a lot of faith in Jan and the new set up. But sorry, not to sound like a broken record but going back to the original point it certainly doesn’t help to be booing the players at this stage.
  17. Fair point. But if that is the case I think those people need to learn to get over it! This is virtually a different team we are supporting this year. Fresh start, new horizons and all that..
  18. Yes, it’s not great but it is fair to say that this is probably the first really bad show from the lads (regardless of the final score). So to turn against them so quickly is shocking, in my opinion of course.
  19. I wasn't there for this one no. Purely because of the distance I live from Southampton and because I had been to the previous two games (Derby and Brum) and couldn’t afford 3 games in a week. Regardless though, what’s your point? We didn’t go so our opinion is somehow void? Tosh!
  20. A football supporter should support should they not! If it was the middle of February and we hadn’t won a game in 15 then ok I just about understand people wanting to vent there frustration. But certainly not four games into the season and especially as most of our team are so young. Turning against the players so quickly will only destroy any confidence the team has managed to build up.
  21. Indeed it is a disgrace. So embarrassing to think that countless football fans that watched that game up and down the country will have got that impression of us. Most worrying thing is that it didn’t sound like only a few booing either!
  22. Shame on you all! I am ashamed to have you as fellow saints fans. The last thing this young team needs is stupid tw*ts booing them at the first instance of things not going completly our way. To make matters worse it was a live on sky!
  23. Well one does what one can
  24. Anyone?! I really want to watch the match highlights from the Derby game
  25. Good point I suppose.
