Football is a squad game, and having this type of keeper around is something we've done before. Stuart Taylor made a career of it. So Long is a shit keeper? Doesn't matter if he isn't on the pitch. My annoyance here is that clearly Baz will be our numbr 1 this seasonl but that's not Long's fault.

So from my brief research on this fella, who admittedly I had never heard of, suggests: solid rather than spectacular; reliable; a good bloke; athletic and six-foot; and sticks in a good cross. What's not to like? Not every player can be a world-beater. Pretty pleased with this.
