Time will tell whether it was the striker or lack of chances created that was the big issue with our lack of goals. One thing I do know is i am more excited by Mara, Arribo and Edozie than I have ever been about Walcott, Redmond or Long. Worrying that some unlucky injuries could put a strain on striking options, but injury free, I think we have forward players now who will create more than those we have had previously. But we shall see

Would have loved to see a goalscorer BUT we have made some signings with apparent creativity who hopefully can create more chances and chip in with some goals and assists which is something we have massively lacked. This is the big problem, the service to the strikers is shocking. We have no player willing to take a pass of any risk between lines or in gaps. Some of the runs AA and others make are good runs but the pass goes safe 5-10 yards sideways and then usually ends up back to the keeper.

Oh god, let me be clearer, in possession at times Romeu has been receiving at left back, small and edwards are effectively playing as a front 4, 2 midfielders start deep, both or at least one of the strikers have come short, quite often, leaving small and edwards as our highest positioned players and we then just end up playing a long ball over their heads out of play…. this has happened too many times for it not to be part of the shape he wants to play. Diallo, Romeu,Adams, and the favourites smallbone and tella on the pitch in the possession spine, so I would expect some effectiveness

Not the way we play, it leaves 2 central in midfield out of possession and time and time again leaves it far too easy for the opposition to get behind them and at our centre backs

Whoever we sign or play as a GK hopefully we can do them a favour and sort out the main problems which is the shit in front of him and the midfield being over run game after game
