  1. This might affect things... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-14082668
  2. Bzzt. Wrong. The 11,000 pages refers to the contents of Mulcare's notebooks taken by the police as part of the initial investigation. All that NI have passed to the police are emails (almost certainly specially filtered to remove any referring to brookes) that are being used to attempt to shift attention away from said woman by allowing others, such as coulson, to be thrown to the dogs.
  3. Except that the guardian have been on about this for several years before any files from NI went to the police.
  4. I think it fairly clear that it leads as far as Rebekah brooks at least. Question is why all the slash and burn to protect her?
  5. Does not take long for Rupe's old friends, the unions, to add to his problems (Oh how I weep!).. http://www.nuj.org.uk/innerPagenuj.html?docid=2153
  6. Will he keep the NI vow of silence? Probably I fear.
  7. I see Coulson has been fed to the dogs (to be arrested tomorrow, all very polite). Its almost like Rebekah Brookes is a queen bee and all her drones are sacrificing themselves (or being sacrificed without their consent) to keep her alive.
  8. You would have thought Jon Snow knows what the caps lock button does.
  9. The whole 'its all for charity thing' is sickening. They realised the sales would plummet as things stood.
  10. I have a vision of Brookes talking to Murdoch saying "Look into my eyes, look into my eyes, the eyes, the eyes, not around the eyes, don't look around my eyes, look into my eyes, you're under."
  11. No just realised it was a terminally tainted brand. As said above will probably mean they will be reemployed on the 'Sunday Sun'
  12. Don't worry, News International is investigating with Rebekah Brookes in charge of the investigation. What could possibly be wrong with that....
  13. I'm not saying that it did not happen just that it appears you are taking your knowledge of one area of the media and extrapolating it to cover everyone in the news industry.
  14. So you are basing your whole theory that all journalists, editors and news agencies have indulged in illegal practices on your knowledge of one instance?
  15. I suspect that paying the police is not as common as you imply. Are you to have me believe that Jeremy Paxman, for example, is in the habit of slipping a bent copper a wedge for information he could use on newsnight? I think its fairly clear that this sort of activity is fairly common in the tabloid press but I suspect it is far less common that you imply outside that area.
  16. It was admitted then by Brookes that police had been paid by NOTW in the past. That's different from proof that Coulson authorized payments after that date.
  17. Changing your pin just meant that the private investigators involved had to go that bit further and use either blagging or contacts in the mobile companies to get them the PIN. Amongst the documents recovered from the investigator was a list of PIN's for people he was told to investigate when the person had done the right thing and changed their PIN. Personally I think the worst thing the mobile companies did was allow people's mobile voicemails to be accessed from any phone by default. If by default you could only access your voice messages from the mobile in question, identified by the IMEI, then it would have been an awful lot harder to gain access to them illegally.
  18. No one is saying that the others are squeaky clean just that on the current evidence NOTW are the worst culpits by a country mile.
  19. Well I think we can be fairly sure it has nothing to do with Kanu!!
  20. Hopefully goodbye Rebekah, see you at the trial... http://twitpic.com/5lq1db/full
  21. So, financial bods out there, what would the repercussion be, if any, if the CVA was not cleared by 17 July 2015? Does the conditions in the CVA allow AA to change the percent returned as well as the dates it should be returned by? If not what happens if its not paid up by then?
  22. As I understand it Android managed to get the creditors to sign up to a CVA that allowed him to make changes to it. His first change was to delay the first round of payments.
  23. Today's extensive coverage of the story in the Sun http://twitpic.com/5lbxnf
  24. What a surprise. Apparently none of the tabloids think this is a big enough story for their front pages today.
  25. Thing is Wade and Coulson have always denied any knowledge of phone hacking yet here we have a story when they were editor and deputy editor when the paper explicitly admitted to the police in charge of the Milly Dowler investigation that they hacked her phone. So who was it who told the police at the time? If it can be traced back to Wade and/or Coulson then they are in the poo (hopefully!)l.
