Yeah like he is some football manager version of Yoda
-
Does anyone know how these things work if mad Nate manages to get a job at another club? Does he still get the 3.5 years pay off?
-
Might well affect their attitude, but let's be honest - their attitude appears to have been pretty shit all season, bar a few. As for staying - they're under contract. Wonder what their contract says in the case of relegation? Pay cuts? I bet not.
-
hopefully on a flight back from Leeds
-
Alternatively they might like him because he's like Mr Mackay or Godber or Fletcher or none of them..who would know...
-
ha ha true although not sure the need for a striker has been addressed either!
-
good old ralph, he only failed to win 11 of the last 14 games he was in charge. Bring back the good old days
-
And of course, they then went on to win the league. Not saying we'll replicate that but football's a funny old game!
-
Correct. Within those parameters, he seemed to treat every game as a friendly, swapping players and formations as soon as the inevitable first goal was conceded.
-
are you talking about us under ralph or leeds under jesse? Description fits both which is a bit worrying
-
Honestly don't know. I'm hoping the people who are paid handsomely to make that decision make the best one for the club. I don't think that is Marsch, but it looks like they do.
-
Ralph also went for weeks and weeks losing game after game. So not a very big branch probably
-
I don't want him. He was failing to keep Leeds up, so I don't see why, on balance of probabilities, he would do any better at a team that is doing worse. I'm not saying I won't get behind him if he comes, just don't see him being successful.

Watch out, you're in danger of getting the MLG confused eyes
-
I reckon a lot the research for that article was done by reading the forum to be fair
-
I would if I was anywhere near good enough. One sacking and made for life
-
So the exact opposite of the situation down here then!
-
I expect us to go out and get the best manager possible. It's not like we're Scunthorpe (with all due respect to Scunthorpe). I think we should try to do better than a manager just sacked because there were severe doubts he could keep a side in the PL. Will support him if he comes in though for sure
-
But this shows just how low our bar is now set really. Reasonable human being, make people feel included, don't act insane at press conferences and the job's a good'un
-
"We just need to score more goals than the opposition" springs to mind...now where did i hear that recently?
-
In fairness, Leeds would be even better placed to do this "one of the people we are speaking to is Nathan Jones..."
-
"full of cliches and bollocks" Ah, you're scaring me now
-
I just had a dig through some Marsch threads on the Leeds forum. Have to say, I couldn't find too much evidence of them being split on him. One comment did make me chuckle: He had the players watching The Redeem Team, about the US Mens Basketball Team going from s**t at the Athens Olympics to winning in Beijing. As you do when you're staring relegation in the face in a totally different sport!!
-
Mad Nate would have said I'm on the phone trying to get Janny back, I don't have time, chuck him in the B Team for now
-
Could be another unmitigated disaster. Not only would he be under massive pressure from the start to get results, as soon as he fails to achieve that (which is likely), he will start getting pelters about being rubbish, sacked by a team in a similar position, being a yank and not understanding the english game etc etc. Hardly setting him up for success. I know our bar is set low (don't be a mad cunt at pressers, select players in their recognised positions, don't play 5th choice CBs etc), but Marsch will come with baggage which may make his task even harder than it already will be
