Obviously I should rename myself to DBP or something, then you can say what I want without being infracted. And you mods like to say you don't infract people for disagreeing with you. Seriously, it's pathetic. Sorry I've had to do this in the open but I've questioned my infractions before and never got a response.

After everyone complained about Lowe, supported the Wilde bunch etc, perhaps its a case of 'be careful what you wish for'.

I think that it us strange that people have such an issue with something so trivial. National press rarely take pictures from our games anyway, so if they do take the 1 picture, why not off us instead of freelancers? It seems to be such a non issue that people are just looking for an excuse to moan. Who genuinely believes the national press care enough to try a mass campaign against us? Surely it's the freelance photographers who suffer more?

And in regards to the main issue, perhaps we should find out I'd Saints are ripping off these media outlets, or if they're presenting a viable, cost effective solution to the media, whilst opening a new revenue stream for SFC to take advantage of.

****ing scummy Echo. There was no agreement for Saints to honour it in year 1, so why ***** and moan. They realise Cortese will: A: find a way to not honour the friendly. B: ban the Echo again. The Echos attitude really does make me laugh. Can tell their editor is a filthy skate ****. Edit: misread it said for 3 years and not in 3 years. If this is the case then it is bad form. I'll believe it when a better press than the Echo gets hold of it. Either way the Echo seems to enjoy going tete a tete with the club. It's up to them of course, but doesn't bode well for them.

Hi all and Mods. I was wondering if we could have a new rule for rumour threads. I was thinking something along the lines of: If the rumour turns out to be unfounded, we can abuse them to our hearts content, and I mean really ruin them. It will bring the humour back to the forum, as well as proper ****ing off, embarrassing those who made them up to get some attention for their sad little lives. Just an idea. Could even put warnings on the thread titles so as not to offend people who don't want to see things like that.

That to me just sounds like the Echo's reporting, they're really not a very good paper a lot of the time.

They had the option of waiting 24 hours and getting a much better scoop. They just never thought that they would be banned. More fool them.

Sorry, you posted as fact that the Echo are still banned, on the back of no evidence. You're getting yourself a little bit confused and flustered here love.

What evidence do you have that they haven't? The burden of proof is not on me, it's on the person accusing.

The redevelopment of Staplewood. The Echo got hold of the plans from the Council Website and told SFC they were going to run the story before SFC had announced it. Cortese asked them to wait 24 hours so they could announce it, and also offered extended interviews, plans etc in recompense. The Echo ran it, Cortese was angry, so banned them, pending a full page apology (this is just a rumour by the way, they may have been banned indefinitely until the resignation of the Skate Editor in charge). Fair enough in my books.

I agree, don't know exactly what he's alluding to. I don't see how the Echo is protecting Cortese. It's as if he thinks the Echo has the investigative journalists from the NOTW working for them. The Echo has made it's mistake, it is being punished. Unfortunately, that's the way life is Stu. Ask the 'Southampton 12'.

But the issue in hand was dealt with in the other thread. The Echo need to give Cortese an apology (which I agree with). Then he will let them back in. Thread discussed.
