I don't disagree with Clyne being better in the long term, I just think in the here and now Naughton has a season of Prem football. The rest I don't disagree with, however I am just very disappointed that we haven't brought players in time for the beginning of the season, as it can't hurt, and there have been a number of good defenders, right wingers that we could have tried to sign.

I think the biggest problem is that either: A) I am under-rating the players we have purchased B) Others are over-rating the players we have purchased C) A little of both This is where our disagreement stems from.

In your opinion they are no better, even though half the names have fair point next to them. Naughton is better than Clyne currently, Maiga is pretty darn good and far better than Rodriguez, and Michu is better than Davis. That's my point proven I think. And I don't really care what your basing your views on. The club have said aiming to compete for Europe. With the signings made so far I don't think we'll stay up.

And if we get better I will drop this. However, based on the signings so far we will have to improve our policy for the next batch of signings. Lens for ok nstance, would definitely be if sufficient quality from what I have seen of him.

We'll have to see, but I would say this is very unlikely now. Aguero, Tevez and Silva v Fonte and Hooiveld. That's proper nightmare territory.

Point A: End of the window is too late for bedding 2 CB's into the team. Point B: Kightly's a very decent player, good quality and Prem experience. I would say Clyne has the potential, but none have the current ability. The only question mark for Kightly is fitness.
